Wolves on a roll

Bruno Lage has praised the hard work Wolves continue to put in as they push for a place in Europe.

The Molineux outfit are just six points adrift of Manchester United in fourth but have played two less games than Ralf Rangnick's men.

Yesterday's 2-1 success over Leicester made it five wins and one defeat from their last six Premier League games and Lage is determined not to let standards slip as his side chase a top-five finish.

He said: "It is [down to] hard work. The are no secrets in football. It is hard work and team work. That is no secret.

"I think we can do something special but we have to continue to work."

Tuchel has hope for key duo

Thomas Tuchel hopes to have Cesar Azpilicueta available to face Lille

Thomas Tuchel is quietly confident that Cesar Azpilicueta and Callum Hudson-Odoi will be fit for Chelsea's Champions League clash with Lille.

The Blues host the Ligue 1 side at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

And Tuchel, who expects to be without England midfielder Mason Mount, hopes to have Azpilicueta and Hudson-Odoi available for selection after the duo missed Saturday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.

He said: "We try to get them fit for Tuesday. Azpi has some groin problems and felt a pain in the last action of Thursday’s training.

"Callum tried in training on Friday but also felt some pain around the Achilles. It’s a bit of inflammation and the pain was too strong."

Tuchel has also played down any talk of resting key players ahead of Sunday's Carabao Cup final showdown with Liverpool.

The German added: "It is the moment to be super focused and not worry about the big picture because that would make us look at a lot of different pictures and environments.

"In terms of team management, we don't think ahead. We bring the best group for the game and then we will take care of Sunday's match."

Forget about the final

Jurgen Klopp does not want his players thinking about Wembley just yet

Jurgen Klopp has told his players to forget about the Carabao Cup final until Liverpool have secured victory against Leeds on Wednesday.

The Reds could close the gap on Manchester City to just three points with a win at Anfield following Tottenham's unexpected 3-2 victory over the champions.

And Klopp wants his side fully focused on that assignment before they even think about turning their attention to facing Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.

The German tactician said: "I expect from the boys that they listen when I tell them that the next game we play is absolutely the most important game we've ever played."

Match off

Swansea's Championship clash with promotion-chasing Bournemouth tomorrow night has been called off due to storm damage.

The decision was made after the Welsh club revealed they would not be able to carry out a full assessment of the Swansea.com Stadium or complete any required repair work in time for kick-off.

A statement on the Swans' website said: "Club staff have been in communication with Bournemouth and the EFL over the weekend since the damage became visible during the course of the bad weather.

"The decision was concluded that the game should be postponed due to risks arising from the damage and in time to avoid visiting players, staff and supporters travelling to South Wales."

A rearranged date for the fixture will be announced in due course.

FA to investigate

The FA are looking into the crowd incidents that marred yesterday's clash between Leeds and Manchester United.

Objects were thrown from the stands, one of which struck Anthony Elanga, as United won 4-2 at Elland Road.
