Leeds vs Rotherham predictions: Whites should put on a show
- Leeds are third in the Championship
- Rotherham are rock-bottom
- Recommended bet: Leeds to score over 2.5 total goals
Leeds should have few problems scoring goals and maintaining their promotion charge with another home victory when they host bottom-of-the-table Rotherham on Saturday.
The Whites are sitting up in third place in the Championship, a point behind Southampton in second and 12 behind runaway leaders Leicester.
As Daniel Farke's men continue to eye a swift return to the top flight, they will expect to swat aside the Millers, who are now staring at relegation down to League One as they are 11 points from safety.
Team news
Leeds' trio Karl Darlow, Pascal Struijk, and Stuart Dallas remain absent for the visit of struggling Rotherham, while Dan James is a major doubt for the hosts.
The visitors, meanwhile, have plenty of injury issues ahead of their trip to Elland Road.
Quintet Andre Green, Cohen Bramall, Grant Hall, Shane Ferguson and Tyler Blackett are all set to be ruled out again.
Fred Onyedinma is a doubt for the game but will be given a late fitness test in the hope he can at least be part of the squad.
The stats
The Whites have won their last five Championship games by a combined score of 10-1.
Leeds have kept clean sheets in four of their last five matches in the league and have also managed a clean sheet in five of their last six home games against Rotherham in all competitions.
Crysencio Summerville has starred for Leeds this season with 12 league goals and seven assists so far.
Rotherham did hold Leeds to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the New York Stadium earlier in the campaign.
The Millers have won just three league games this season — all at home.
Prediction
There is little value in backing a home win, with Leeds as short as 1/8, so the 8/11 on offer for over 2.5 home goals on the day may be the way to go.
Leeds have scored 32 goals at Elland Road from 15 home matches so far and they should not have too much trouble registering at least three against the sorry Millers, for whom injuries are piling up.
Rotherham appear destined for the drop now and remain the only side in the Championship yet to win on the road this term.
Furthermore, Leam Richardson's side have conceded 54 goals this season, with only out-of-form Blackburn shipping more in the division, so they are likely to be up against it when they make the short trip north to West Yorkshire.
