Jurgen Klopp singled out Conor Bradley for specific praise after the youngster's man-of-the-match display helped Liverpool see off Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield.

The right-back, 20, scored the Reds' second and was a constant threat down the right-hand side as his team preserved their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

And Klopp — who celebrated his 200th Premier League win as a manager — heaped praise on the Northern Ireland international.

He told BBC Sport: "What a wonderful kid he is.

"The whole game. The contribution, the involvement. It's a job to play against [Raheem] Sterling that's not easy. I'm really happy for him.

"He's a very serious young man and that was pretty special I have to say.

"For us it's important because we could not have put this string of results together without these boys. Without [Jarell] Quansah, Conor and Bobby [Clark].

"Joe Gomez has created his own position. It's really good, I'm really happy."

It was a mixed night for striker Darwin Nunez, who hit the woodwork four times — including once from the penalty spot — but was involved in much of his team's best attacking play, including setting up Luis Diaz to make it 4-1.

And Klopp insists he is not concerned by the volume of chances Nunez is passing up.

He said: "He was really disappointed with himself about missing the penalty but he is a handful.

"It was really hard for him. Then he headed against the crossbar. He sets up a goal even after the massive disappointment.

"He is in outstanding shape. He's still a bit unlucky so it's all fine."
