Harry Kane described his full Bayern Munich debut as "perfect" after his goal and assist contributed to a 4-0 win at Werder Bremen.

The England captain set up Leroy Sane in trademark fashion inside four minutes of the Bundesliga clash on Friday night before snaring his side's second with a composed finish after half time.

And Kane says that the victory has whet his appetite for what is to come in a Bayern shirt.

The striker, who admitted to feeling nerves before the match, said: "We've seen my game, I like to drop deep and link play in the last four or five years.

"I think with the pace we have in this team, it works perfectly. I'm a No9 first and foremost so I have to get in the box and make the runs forward.

"I'm really happy, we have a fantastic squad and I'm excited to be a part of it."

Thomas Tuchel congratulates Harry Kane

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel was also thrilled with the way his new signing linked up with Kinsley Coman, Sane and Jamal Musiala during the comprehensive victory.

Tuchel said: "We had a nice mix between possession play and quick transitions.

"Harry is good there. He’s very strong in holding up the ball. He provides depth by being the focal point up front.

"He always influences the defence, keeping them busy with his clever movement. He’s very smart in everything he does and incredibly precise."

The Bundesliga champions' next game sees them take on Augsburg at the Allianz Arena on Sunday.
