Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor believes Arsenal's victory over Chelsea last weekend has changed the landscape in the Women's Super League.

Emma Hayes' team suffered their first defeat of the season as the Gunners powered to a 4-1 win at the Emirates Stadium to move level on points at the top of the table, with City three points behind.

Taylor told a press conference ahead of Sunday's clash with Everton: "There are only 22 games and, up to last weekend, you have to take your hat off to what Chelsea had done.

"Twenty-two points out of 24 after eight games is phenomenal and one of the reasons they've been up there so long as a club.

"One game changes everything. It could be a big swing. We've worked hard to get to where we are and we want to maintain that."

City are set to make a late decision on the fitness of Alanna Kennedy, who was forced off at half-time with an Achilles issue during last weekend's win over Aston Villa.

Seventh-placed Everton have been dealt a blow with the news goalkeeper Emily Ramsey will be out for a number of weeks after damaging ankle ligaments against Liverpool in midweek.

Boss Brian Sorensen has a number of injury problems to contend with, and he said: "Man City is an unbelievable team and they've been playing really good.

"With the amount of players we don't have available, it's going to be a tough ask, but we'll do everything in our power to get the team ready and put in a performance that we can be proud of."
