The Premier League resumes after the international break and all eyes are on Manchester United, who head to Ipswich under new manager Ruben Amorim on Sunday.

Champions Manchester City, who have lost their last four matches in all competitions, host Tottenham and it is top versus bottom at St Mary's on Sunday, when leaders Liverpool visit struggling Southampton.

Leicester vs Chelsea (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Enzo Maresca's Chelsea kick off the weekend action with a trip to his former club Leicester and the Blues are chasing a fourth away win of the season. They should be too strong for the Foxes but both teams have scored in Chelsea's last six Premier League matches.  

Score prediction: 1-2

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest (Saturday, 3pm)

Arsenal have been in patchy form away from home but Martin Odegaard's return to fitness should help them see off Nottingham Forest. The Gunners have won 11 of their 14 home league games in 2024 and Forest's fine run ended with a 3-1 defeat to Newcastle last time out.

Score prediction: 2-0

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm)

Aston Villa have lost their last four games in all competitions, which includes a 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace at Villa Park. Unai Emery's men should reverse that form against the Eagles, who have taken just two points from five away league fixtures including 2-1 losses at Brentford and Everton.

Score prediction: 2-1

Bournemouth vs Brighton (Saturday, 3pm)

Bournemouth have won their last three home matches, which includes impressive victories over Arsenal and Manchester City. However, visitors Brighton have also made a promising start to the campaign and a high-scoring draw could be on the cards. 

Score prediction: 2-2

Everton vs Brentford (Saturday, 3pm)

Two of Everton's last four home matches in all competitions ended 1-1 and that looks a likely scoreline when they host Brentford. The Toffees' games tend to be low-scoring affairs but both teams have found the net in Brentford's last 11 league and cup matches.

Score prediction: 1-1

Fulham vs Wolves (Saturday, 3pm)

Wolves claimed their first league win of the season against bottom club Southampton last time out, following on from 2-2 draws with Brighton and Crystal Palace. They face a tough trip to Fulham, who have made an impressive start to the campaign and beat Brentford 2-1 in their most recent game at Craven Cottage. 

Score prediction: 2-1

Manchester City vs Tottenham (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Manchester City have won and both teams have scored in seven of their last nine home league matches and that is a likely outcome against gung-ho Tottenham. City are on a four-game losing streak but they should have too much firepower for a Spurs side who struggle on the road.

Score prediction: 3-1

Southampton vs Liverpool (Sunday, 2pm)

Southampton's 2-0 defeat at Wolves before the international break left them bottom of the table and things are unlikely to improve when they host leaders Liverpool. Saints have lost five of their first 11 matches to nil, including a 1-0 defeat at Manchester City, and they may well be shut out by the Reds.

Ipswich vs Manchester United (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Ruben Amorim takes charge of Manchester United for the first time against an Ipswich side buoyed by their 2-1 victory at Tottenham last time out. The Red Devils have drawn four of their last five away matches in all competitions and Ipswich have had three score draws in their last four league fixtures at Portman Road. 

Score prediction: 2-2

Newcastle vs West Ham (Monday, 8pm)

Newcastle needed three late goals to win 4-3 against West Ham in March's clash at St James' Park but the Magpies should claim a smoother success on Monday. The Hammers, who are missing suspended star Mohammed Kudus, conceded seven goals in recent away defeats at Spurs and Forest.
