The fixtures are coming thick and fast in the Premier League, and we have our first midweek schedule for Gameweek 14.

Gameweek 14 starts on Tuesday night with two fixtures planned, while there are six matches scheduled on Wednesday and two on Thursday.

We have picked out five players that should be considered in the next few days.

Robert Sanchez, Chelsea (Goalkeeper)

Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez could have a successful night against Southampton

Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez kept his first Premier League clean sheet since Gameweek 5 on Sunday as Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3-0.

Sanchez made three saves to keep Villa at bay, but he may not have much to do against Southampton.

Russell Martin's team have only scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season, the lowest in the top flight and with Chelsea keeping three clean sheets in their last five in all competitions, this could be a great time to select Sanchez.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool (Defender)

Despite his premium price tag, Reds defender Trent Alexander-Arnold comes into our thinking for the midweek trip to St James' Park to face Newcastle United.

Alexander-Arnold picked up another clean sheet on Sunday in the 2-0 win over Manchester City, while he got forward and looked dangerous when supporting Liverpool's attack.

With Newcastle failing to score in two of their last three Premier League home games, Liverpool have what it takes to collect another clean sheet.

Cole Palmer, Chelsea (Midfielder)

England international Cole Palmer warmed up for Chelsea's meeting with Southampton by scoring and grabbing an assist in the win over Villa.

Palmer now has eight goals and six assists to his name this season and he faces a Saints side that we know are vulnerable defensively.

The former Manchester City man is on penalties and free-kicks and can lead the team on his own if necessary.

Bukayo Saka, Arsenal (Midfielder)

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka has again been one of the form players in the Premier League

Only Mohamed Salah and Palmer have scored more fantasy points from midfield than Arsenal's Bukayo Saka this season.

The 23-year-old has recorded double-digit returns in the last two games against Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

Saka has five goals and 10 assists already for the campaign, and he will hope to build on that against Manchester United, who are still finding their feet under new boss Ruben Amorim.

Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea (Forward)

Nicolas Jackson took his goal tally to eight for the season after scoring against Villa and like Palmer, he will look to feast on that porous Southampton defence.

The pair have led Chelsea's attack with style and swagger in recent weeks, and Jackson looks to have really found his feet in the Premier League under manager Enzo Maresca.

With the Senegalese in form, he is a superb pick against the worst team in the league at present.

Captain's pick

Cole Palmer, Chelsea (Midfielder)

Palmer gets the nod this week due to his minutes guarantee and his fixture.

The England man takes the bulk of Chelsea's set-pieces and that could help him add to his points on Wednesday evening.
