After the return of knockout football in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League, the focus of Europe’s top teams returns to domestic matters for an intriguing weekend of action.

Here we have picked out five goalscorers to watch out for across the continent.

Newcastle vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 3pm)

Newcastle have been in an almost perpetual injury crisis this season and have been dealt another major blow as they are set to be without Callum Wilson for the majority of the rest of the season with a pectoral injury.

Alexander Isak is also likely to miss their weekend clash against Bournemouth so Anthony Gordon will be tasked with leading the line for the Magpies.

The former Everton man has scored seven goals in the Premier League this season and looks likely to add to that in this matchup.

Tottenham vs Wolves (Saturday, 3pm)

Richarlison has flourished for Tottenham in recent weeks as he has become more acclimated to Ange Postecoglou’s system.

A natural poacher, the Brazilian is uniquely suited to the Australian manager’s style of play and has netted seven times in his last eight league games.

A striker in form, Richarlison is fancied to extend that record with a goal here.

Verona vs Juventus (Saturday, 5pm)

Dusan Vlahovic has struggled throughout various points of his Juventus career but is in fine form at the moment and is fancied to find the net against Verona.

The Serbian has scored six goals in his last five Serie A appearances and looks likely to get on the scoresheet against a side in the relegation zone.

Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid (Sunday, 1pm)

Jude Bellingham has taken plenty of the plaudits at Real Madrid this season but he has an impressive cast of characters around him and Vinicius Junior could be the one to star against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

The Brazilian has scored seven goals in 15 league appearances but is always a threat and may fill his boots against bottom-half opposition.

Monaco vs Toulouse (Sunday, 2pm)

Monaco have brought through plenty of wonderkids over the years and Maghnes Akliouche could be the latest from the production line.

The midfielder has netted four times in eight league starts this season and could do so again as he faces a Toulouse team that are just one point above the relegation play-off position.
