FC Copenhagen vs Man City predictions: Citizens on course for Danish delight
Manchester City are in free-scoring form at present and will take some stopping to be denied another three points when they head to FC Copenhagen on Tuesday evening.
The Citizens are on a six-game winning streak in all competitions as they head to the Danish capital and a win on Tuesday night would see Pep Guardiola's side secure their place in the Champions League knockout stages with two games to spare.
City's start to the campaign is in stark contrast to that of Copenhagen, who are sat rock bottom of Group G with just one point from their first three games.
Guardiola's side earned a 5-0 win over the Danish giants when they met at the Etihad Stadium at the start of the month, with in-form Erling Haaland bagging himself a first-half brace.
Team news
Manchester City are set to have a trio of England internationals unavailable for the trip to the Danish capital, with Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips and John Stones all out through injury.
Guardiola is likely to tweak the side that secured a 4-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, with the likes of Jack Grealish, Sergio Gomez and Ilkay Gundogan all pushing for starting roles.
As for the hosts, Copenhagen boss Jacob Neestrup will be forced to do without the injured pair of Akinkunmi Amoo and Zeca.
In more positive news there were no fresh injuries from Copenhagen's 1-1 draw with Nordsjaelland on Saturday, while Kevin Diks and Victor Kristiansen are set to make returns to the backline.
The stats
Since a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the start of September, City have gone on to win six games in a row in all competition and scored an impressive 24 goals in that winning spell.
Three clean sheets in their last four also shows Guardiola's side have been strong at the back, as well as with their efforts going forward.
Copenhagen have endured a tough start to the season and sit in seventh place in the Danish Superliga table ahead of their Champions League clash with City.
Just two wins in their last 10 games in all competitions has made for a poor spell for Neestrup's side and things won't get any easier with the arrival of City this week.
Copenhagen are unbeaten in their last five home matches in all competitions, so that will give them some hope for Tuesday's battle with the reigning English champions.
Prediction
Copenhagen will require something special if they are to get something from this game at Parken Stadium.
Much like in their previous meeting in Manchester, expect City to come out of the blocks quickly in order to put this game to bed before the half-time whistle.
Haaland, as he did in the last encounter, is available at 13/8 to score the opening goal of the game, while City are 11/8 to score over 3.5 goals on the night.
