To celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo becoming Official Global Brand Ambassador for LiveScore, we put him under the spotlight to discover what he considers to be the standout moments from his prestigious playing career so far.

As well as asking him to name his favourite goal, we were also keen for him to reveal which games and individual performances have given him the most satisfaction.

When you have scored 777 goals for club and country and collected 32 club and international honours along the way, picking out the best of the bunch is no easy task.

But the inspirational Portuguese striker was happy to share some of the memories he holds closest to his heart in his exclusive chat with us.

If we asked you to pick three games that define you career so far, games that tell the story of Cristiano Ronaldo, which would you chose and why?

It’s difficult to mention just one, or two, or even three games. I have played so many games and have won so many titles.

Of course, people expect me to mention the games in which I won major titles and the best ones I can say have been the UEFA Champions League finals and the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 with Portugal.

In both of these competitions you are winning an unbelievable trophy.

What did it mean for you to win the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 with Portugal?

Well, the start of the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 was going well for me but then I was sad because I got injured [in the final against France].

By the end of the match I was crying with happiness. I experienced three types of feelings and emotions in that game, but at the end of the day it was unbelievable what I felt.

It is probably the most important trophy I’ve won in my life.

So far, what would you consider to be your favourite goal you have scored and why?

As you know, I have scored 777 goals in my career. It is a bit unlucky but unfortunately, I have to mention that I scored my favourite ever goal against my current team Juventus [his overhead kick for Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final in Turin in April 2018] and past my great friend Gianluigi Buffon.

I would say that is my best and favourite goal I’ve ever scored in my career.

In a similar sense, is there an individual performance you would consider to be the greatest of your career to date?

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s so difficult to mention just one performance having played well in so many games.

It is really hard to choose but I would say the games where you score three or even four goals are always special.

For example, I’ll always remember my hat-trick for Portugal against Spain in the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

The games I remember the most are always the finals, like the UEFA Champions League final 2017 versus my current club Juventus, where I scored two goals.

It is really hard to choose just one performance because I have been lucky to play in so many games.

Looking ahead to UEFA Euro 2020 this summer, where exactly would winning back-to-back European Championship tournaments rank within your career achievements?

I have spoken before about what an important moment that Euros win [in 2016] was for the Portuguese team and for the country.

We were so proud to be able to bring the trophy home. It was very emotional.

To win it again would be incredible and of course we go to the tournament with that as our ambition.

We have a good team but also we know there are a lot of very strong teams there.
