Joy and devastation will be dished out in equal measure tonight when Belgium take on Portugal in Euro 2020's round of 16.

There is also plenty of intrigue in the 5pm clash between the Netherlands and Czech Republic, when Jaroslav Silhavy’s men will bid to spring a surprise on the Dutch dark horses.

But while we feast on this summer’s festival of football, the transfer market is picking up speed.

Here are all the rumours relating to the teams involved in today’s action.

Pavlenka Premier League-bound?

Czech goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka is likely to be a busy man this evening when he comes up against the Oranje’s array of attacking talent.

And things are unlikely to be any quieter for him next season if reports linking the 6ft 5in stopper with a move to Burnley prove accurate.

The Clarets are on the lookout for a replacement for Nick Pope, who could depart this summer, and Werder Bremen's Pavlenka, 27, is available for just £4.5million.

Weghorst is the talk of the Toon

Is Dutch targetman Wout Weghorst Newcastle-bound this summer?

Continuing the theme of colossal transfer targets, 6ft 6in Dutch forward Wout Weghorst is believed to be wanted by Newcastle

The striker has a remarkable record of 63 goals in 120 games for Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg and has already found the net against Ukraine at Euro 2020.

An asking price of £25m is unlikely to deter the Magpies from signing the 28-year-old frontman.

Van Aanholt to Arsenal?

Arsenal are making some big-money moves in the transfer market this summer but there is always room for a bargain at the Emirates.

Step forward Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt, who is available on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of this month.

The defender, 30, would provide cover for Scottish star Kieran Tierney in North London.

San the man

Renato Sanches was imperious against France in Portugal's final Group F match

Renato Sanches is back to his best and reminding the continent why he was so highly rated as a teenager.

The Portuguese midfield bulldozer was sensational against France and has just come off the back of a title-winning season with Lille in Ligue 1.

So it is no surprise the vultures are circling as Liverpool consider making a move for the 23-year-old.

The Reds are looking to replace Gini Wijnaldum but Sanches will not come cheap — a figure of around £21.5m would be required to secure his services.

Lukaku staying put?

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the future of Romelu Lukaku, with both Chelsea and Manchester City linked with a £105m move for the Belgian striker.

But the 28-year-old took to social media to respond to the rumours this week, stating he is happy at Inter Milan.

That is unlikely to deter Europe’s biggest clubs from pursuing the former Manchester United forward, who has already netted three times at the Euros following a 30-goal season for the Nerazzurri.

With Inter’s worsening financial situation well documented, it would be unwise to rule out Lukaku making a move before next season.
