Hudson-Odoi excited to get started at 'big club' Forest
Callum Hudson-Odoi is excited to get going at Nottingham Forest after signing from Chelsea on deadline day.
Hudson-Odoi, 22, leaves the Blues having made 126 appearances for the club and was part of the Champions League winning squad in 2021.
Forest's new addition has put pen to paper on a three-year-deal and will wear the No14 shirt.
He said: "It's massive for me to be here and I can't wait to get started. It's a new chapter for me.
"I know a couple of the boys already, which was a big thing for me, and I obviously know the manager well, so it's nice to be here and see familiar faces around.
"Forest are a big club that won two massive trophies [the European Cup] and I'm really excited to play at the City Ground.
"I know all about the atmosphere having watched a couple of times and I can't wait to get playing in front of the Forest fans."
Three-cap England international Hudson-Odoi spent last season on loan and Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, where he made 21 appearances.
The Londoner took to Instagram to say farewell to his old club.
He said: "The time has come for me to bid Chelsea farewell.
"For the longest time, Chelsea has been my home. I spent the best part of my childhood, teenage years and early manhood wearing a Chelsea shirt.
"My best memories will always be playing in front of you all at Stamford Bridge.
"I will embark on this new pathway. But before I do, I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has been a part of my journey and to everyone that has supported me so far. Until we meet again."
Hudson-Odoi has proven he can perform in the Premier League with 15 goal contributions in 72 appearances for Chelsea.
He looks a likely replacement for Brennan Johnson, who is believed to be on the verge of securing a move to Tottenham.
