Arsenal and Crystal Palace collide tonight in what promises to be an intriguing London derby.

In years gone by, the Gunners would be the overwhelming favourites for the Premier League clash.

But with the hosts 13th in the table and Palace just three points below them in 14th, it is now a little different.

Former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira has plenty of exciting young players among his squad to pick from — but which ones would get the nod over their North London counterparts?

Ahead of the clash at the Emirates, which kicks off at 8pm, we select our combined XI.

Goalkeeper: Vicente Guaita (Crystal Palace)

Palace's Vicente Guaita is our man between the sticks.

With Aaron Ramsdale only recently displacing Bernd Leno in goal, the Spaniard's superior top-flight experience earns him the No1 jersey.

Right-back: Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal)

Takehiro Tomiyasu has impressed since his £17million switch to Arsenal

After an impressive start to life in North London since his £17million move from Bologna, Takehiro Tomiyasu proves himself a worthy member of the defence.

With the Japan international in the side, the Gunners have conceded only one goal in their last four after leaking them left, right and centre prior to his arrival in North London.

Centre-back: Gabriel (Arsenal)

Another man who has played his part in Arsenal’s new-found defensive resilience, Brazil international Gabriel gets the nod as one of two centre-backs.

The 23-year-old ace is Arteta’s defensive leader — and he just edges out £50m team-mate Ben White for a place.

Centre-back: Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)

Marc Guehi has adjusted well to life in the Premier League at Crystal Palace

Partnering Gabriel is Palace man Marc Guehi, who has been an assured presence for Vieira’s men since his £18m arrival from Chelsea.

The 21-year-old defender has formed an impressive partnership with fellow new arrival Joachim Andersen and looks set to have a bright future in the top flight.

Left-back: Kieran Tierney (Arsenal)

As one of the division's best left-backs, Kieran Tierney is a nailed-on starter over the less experienced Tyrick Mitchell to complete the back four.

Tierney, 24, is a key man for club and country after consistently excelling going forward as well as in defence.

Defensive midfield: Thomas Partey (Arsenal)

Despite struggling with injuries for much of his time in North London, Arsenal look a much better team when Thomas Partey features.

He returned to the side for their league first win of the season against Norwich.

And the Ghanaian has featured in every game since, with the Gunners winning two and drawing one in the league following that 1-0 victory over the Canaries.

Central midfield: Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace)

Conor Gallagher has been one of the standout young players in the Premier League so far this term

As one of the standout young players in the Premier League so far this season, 21-year-old midfielder Conor Gallagher fully deserves his spot in the LiveScore XI.

The on-loan Chelsea man has two goals and a further assist to his name already.

And if his form continues, Blues boss Thomas Tuchel may well earmark him as a player with a bright future at Stamford Bridge when he returns to the club.

Central midfield: Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)

Adding more flair in a team packed with young talent is Arsenal No10 Emile Smith Rowe, who has cemented himself as a regular after breaking into the first team last season.

He fights off Gunners team-mate Martin Odegaard for a place in our side.

Right wing: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Bukayo Saka is a key man for Arsenal and England despite being only 20

Bukayo Saka joins fellow Arsenal academy graduate Smith Rowe in the line-up after continuing to prove himself as one of England’s brightest stars following his eye-catching displays at Euro 2020.

Such is his importance for both club and country, it is easy to forget Saka is only 20 — and he will no doubt reach new heights this season.

Striker: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)

While Palace man Odsonne Edouard has hit the ground running at his new club, he has not quite done enough to edge out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Arsenal skipper has looked back to his best this term and his clinical finishing makes him the ideal candidate to lead the line.

Left wing: Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

With the Gunners seemingly trying and failing on numerous attempts to sign him, Wilfried Zaha completes the four-man Palace contingent in our XI.

With Saka on one side and the Eagles talisman on the other, not many defences would look forward to facing this team.
