Arsenal unveil new Islington-inspired away shirt
Arsenal have revealed their new away shirt for the 2023-24 season inspired by the club's Islington roots.
The striking bright yellow design features fluid black lines to represent the map of the Gunners' home borough in North London.
It is complemented by a blue badge and logos, with the same colour on the collar and sleeves for an unconventional take on their usual away shirt style.
Forward Gabriel Martinelli said of the adidas-designed strip: "I love it! It's a fresh look and it really brings to life the style of Arsenal.
"Our supporters are incredible and it's great that adidas and the club have created this design to celebrate them and our roots in North London.
"I can't wait to get back on the pitch in our new away shirt."
As part of the campaign for their new jersey, Arsenal have given a platform to a host of Gunners-supporting music artists as they celebrate the culture of their local area.
Musicians such as Mabel, Sherelle and AntsLive are seen in the promotional video alongside the men's first-team stars.
Rapper AntsLive said: "There are so many talented Gooners all over the globe and I love the way the club is making a real effort to showcase the talent. Arsenal have always led the pack in supporting culture.
"We've seen them connect with supporters in North London and communities around the world in different ways and this time it’s through music and design.
"As a lifelong Gooner, it's a special honour to feature in the launch and have my music as the soundtrack. Big up the Arsenal every time."
Mikel Arteta's men could debut their new attire when they face MLS All-Stars in Washington DC on Wednesday night.
They also face Manchester United and Barcelona during their time in the States.
A home clash with Monaco in the Emirates Cup follows before they take on Premier League champions Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 6.
