Aggie Beever-Jones has been rewarded with a contract extension

Aggie Beever-Jones was left with a beaming smile on her face after extending her Chelsea deal until the summer of 2026.

The academy product, 20, signed her first pro contract with the Blues in July 2021 before spending the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Bristol City.

She was handed an extension ahead of a temporary switch to Everton last season but has really caught the eye since returning to Kingsmeadow.

Beever-Jones, who has netted six goals in 12 appearances in all competitions this term, told Chelsea's official club website: "It's amazing, I haven't stopped smiling.

"This is my childhood club and to continue my journey here is really exciting.

"The club means everything to me. It's a real honour to be able to play for this badge.

"There aren't too many words to sum it up. I'm living the dream.

"I'm honoured to be able to share a pitch with the likes of Fran [Kirby] and people I looked up to when I was younger.

"Being a ball girl, I always wanted to play but whether it was going to become a reality was a different question.

"It's surreal being able to do it every day. Being able to score and help the team the best I can is the icing on the cake."

General manager Paul Green added: "We're delighted to see Aggie having an impact for us at senior level after coming all the way through our youth pathway.

"Aggie gained vital experience over the last two years out on loan and has done very well since coming back into the squad.

"We wanted to reward her for that and see Aggie as a big part of our future."

Beever-Jones made her senior debut for the Blues in a 4-0 win at Aston Villa during the 2020-21 campaign.

She was handed her first start for the club in the same season as Emma Hayes' side recorded a 5-0 victory over London City Lionesses in the Women's FA Cup.

The Carshalton-born ace came off the bench yesterday as Chelsea won 3-0 at Brighton to maintain their lead at the top of the WSL.
