Graham Potter is aiming to turn West Ham's fortunes around

- West Ham United beat Fulham 3-2 in Graham Potter's first league game in charge on Tuesday
- Crystal Palace's only defeats in their last 12 league and cup matches came against Arsenal
- Recommended bet: Draw

Graham Potter enjoyed a winning Premier League debut as West Ham United manager thanks to some efficient finishing against Fulham on Tuesday.

The Hammers scored three goals from just four shots in their 3-2 win over the Cottagers and they are aiming to follow up with another home win against Crystal Palace.

The Eagles continued their resurgence with a 2-0 midweek victory at lowly Leicester and they are out to avenge August's 2-0 home defeat to West Ham.

Team news

West Ham hope to welcome back winger Crysencio Summerville. Jarrod Bowen, Niclas Fullkrug, Jean-Clair Todibo and Michail Antonio remain sidelined for Potter's side.

Crystal Palace will be monitoring midfielder Jefferson Lerma, who has been struggling with illness. Matheus Franca and Adam Wharton are injured and defender Rob Holding is out of favour.

The stats

Both teams have scored in eight of West Ham's last 10 games in all competitions.

Seven of the Hammers' last 13 home Premier League matches featured over 3.5 goals.

West Ham have been trailing at half-time in each of their last five league defeats.

Crystal Palace have lost only one of their last eight away games in all competitions.

Three of Palace's last 12 league fixtures have ended 2-2.

The Eagles have drawn six of their last 12 league matches.

Prediction

Three of the last four Premier League meetings between West Ham United and Crystal Palace at the London Stadium have ended in draws and the stalemate is an appealing bet on Saturday.

The exception was Palace's 2-1 victory in November 2022, when Michael Olise scored an injury-time winner, and the Eagles should be confident of picking up a point.

They have lost only one of their last eight away games, a 3-2 EFL Cup quarter-final reverse at Arsenal, and their results have improved as their early-season injury crisis has eased.

Potter's West Ham reign began with a 2-1 FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa and he is missing key forward Jarrod Bowen and Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug due to injury.

The midweek win over in-form Fulham was a welcome boost to morale but the Hammers had lost 5-0 to Liverpool and 4-1 at Manchester City in their last two matches under Julen Lopetegui.

Their defensive deficiencies were exposed by the Cottagers and Palace, who have drawn six of their last 12 league fixtures, have the attacking quality to claim a share of the points.
