- Tottenham have won three and drawn one of their opening four league games
- Sheffield United have drawn two blanks in all competitions this season
- Recommended bet: Tottenham to win to zero

Harry Kane's departure does not seem to have hit Tottenham as hard as expected and Spurs are shaping up well heading into this weekend's clash with Sheffield United.

However, the same cannot be said for the newly promoted Blades, who went into the international break in 17th spot after failing to win any of their opening four games.

Team news

Rodrigo Bentancur, Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon, Giovani Lo Celso and Alfie Whiteman are all unavailable for Tottenham.

Visitors Sheffield United will be without Max Lowe, Ben Osborn, John Fleck, Rhys Norrington-Davies, Rhian Brewster, Yasser Larouci, John Egan and Daniel Jebbison.

The stats

Tottenham have collected 10 points from their opening four Premier League matches this season, conceding only four goals.

As for the Blades, they have netted only four times in five matches in all competitions, firing blanks against Crystal Palace and Lincoln City.

Tottenham recorded 12 of their 18 league wins last season on home soil.

James Maddison has made a lively start to life in north London, bagging two goals and two assists in the Premier League this term.

Predictions

Hopes were not high in the Tottenham camp coming into the new season with star man Harry Kane having departed for Bayern Munich and the club looking to bounce back from an underwhelming eighth-placed finish last term.

But Spurs have emerged as one of the season's early pacesetters under new manager Ange Postecoglou, winning three and drawing one of their opening four games.

Manchester United were among their early scalps, while they signed off before the international break with a thrilling 5-2 win over Vincent Kompany's Burnley.

Heung-min Son sprung into life in that match, bagging a hat-trick, while summer signing James Maddison has also looked right at home in north London.

Tottenham have looked pretty formidable so far this term — a second-round exit in the EFL Cup against Fulham being the only blot on their copy book — and they are fancied to see off Sheffield United.

To extract more value from the match, though, punters should consider a bet on Tottenham to win without conceding.

Spurs have generally looked tight at the back in the early stages of the season, recording clean sheets against Manchester United and Bournemouth, and Sheffield United do not exactly offer much going forward.

They have been kept out by Crystal Palace and Lincoln City already this term and were held to a 2-2 draw by fellow strugglers Everton, so it would be no surprise to see them shut out entirely in this one.
