Thomas Frank admits Brentford could sell Ivan Toney in January — if the price is right.

Bees striker Toney, 27, is currently serving an eight-month ban for betting breaches but Chelsea have been strongly linked following his 20-goal Premier League haul last term.

And Frank insists the club's ethos is to not stand in the way of their players.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, the Brentford boss said: "I think every club in the world is a selling club except five or six.

"We are a selling club if the right price is there and I think it's the right time for the players to go.

"If players have developed well with us and been on the journey, and they've proven good enough to go to the top clubs, then I think it's the right thing if we get the right price.

"I understand why there are a lot of rumours out there about him. For me, I think he's one of the best strikers.

"As a No9, I don't see many out there in the world who are better.

"Imagine him in a top team. He could easily score 20, 25 goals. I think he's composed, a good finisher, a top mentality, so I understand why clubs are looking at him."

Michail Antonio reckons Mohamed Salah was keen to leave Liverpool amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

The Egyptian star, 31, was top of Al-Ittihad's wanted list and the Saudi Pro League champions are widely expected to come back in for him in January.

Liverpool were quick to make it clear their prized asset was not for sale but West Ham striker Antonio believes Salah's head was turned.

Antonio told the Footballer's Football Podcast: "He didn't turn that down, no way.

"To be fair to him, he didn't kick up a fuss. But I know for a fact he was ready to go."
