Shawn McCoulsky’s brace helped Maidenhead to a crucial win in their survival fight at the foot of the National League as they beat 10-man Wealdstone 3-1.

McCoulsky opened the scoring in the 25th minute when he went through on goal and slotted the ball beyond the reach of Toby Steward.

Alex Reid levelled for the visitors four minutes into the second half, finding the net with a dinked finish after being played in by Max Kretzschmar.

However, three minutes later McCoulsky had Maidenhead back in front when Tristan Abrahams won back possession and then squared it to the striker for a simple finish.

Abrahams then hit a post and any hopes of a Wealdstone fightback were effectively ended by a straight red card for Craig Eastmond in the 67th minute for a poor challenge on Reece Smith, who then scored the third nine minutes from time.
