Tottenham host second-placed Liverpool in the headline match of Premier League Matchday 7.

Aston Villa and Brighton get the ball rolling on Saturday lunchtime before leaders Manchester City bid to extend their 100% start to the season against Wolves.

We run through the key stats ahead of another bumper weekend of action.

Aston Villa vs Brighton (Saturday, 12.30pm, TNT Sports)

Aston Villa will look to build on their impressive 1-0 victory at Chelsea when they host Brighton.

The Villans have beaten the South Coast club four times in a row, scoring exactly two goals in each of those matches.

But the Seagulls have triumphed in five of their six top-flight outings this term and have found the back of the net in their last 22 league fixtures, bagging an impressive 51 goals in that timeframe.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal (Saturday, 3pm)

Bournemouth have yet to taste victory in the Premier League this season and host Arsenal on Saturday — who they have beaten only once in their last 14 attempts.

The Gunners have defeated Crystal Palace, Everton and Brentford in their three away matches in all competitions this season and have never failed to score against the Cherries.

However, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has injury concerns for the trip to the Vitality Stadium, with Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard all doubts.

Everton vs Luton (Saturday, 3pm)

Everton and Luton meet for the first time in any competition since October 2007.

The Toffees are seeking to win three on the bounce for the first time since September 2021 following Wednesday night's Carabao Cup success at Villa.

Luton are currently winless in the top flight but picked up a first point against Wolves and will be buoyed by the fact that Sean Dyche's side have lost three in a row at Goodison Park.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm)

Manchester United host Crystal Palace for the second time this week after a convincing 3-0 win in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

The Red Devils have struggled against the South Londoners in the top flight of late, though, winning only three of the last eight encounters.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson is also unbeaten in his last four league visits to Old Trafford (two wins, two draws) and no manager in history has gone unbeaten in five consecutive Premier League trips to United.

Newcastle vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm)

Newcastle set a new Premier League record last Sunday when they thrashed Sheffield United 8-0, with eight different scorers.

This weekend they welcome a Burnley side desperately searching for a first league victory and the Clarets are winless in their last nine trips to St James' Park, a run that stretches back to April 1976.

Anthony Gordon is the man in form for Eddie Howe's side with five goal contributions in his last seven league appearances — one more than in his previous 47 matches combined for Everton and the Magpies.

West Ham vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)

Sheffield United will be desperate to right the wrongs from last Sunday's collapse at Bramall Lane but face another tough opponent in West Ham.

The Hammers have won their last six Premier League meetings with newly-promoted sides and have claimed three points in each of their last nine versus teams starting the day bottom of the table.

In-form Jarrod Bowen will look to add to his tally of four goals against a Blades defence which has faced 136 shots so far this season — an average of 22.7 per game.

Wolves vs Manchester City (Saturday, 3pm)

Manchester City travel to Wolves with six wins from six league matches this term.

The hosts' record against the champions since doing the double over them in 2019-20 is not pretty either, losing the last six encounters by an aggregate score of 19-3.

Wolves will also have to try and stop Erling Haaland, who already has eight Premier League goals to his name — two more than Gary O'Neil's side in total.

Tottenham vs Liverpool (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)

Tottenham will bid to end their hoodoo against Liverpool, having won just one of their last 21 Premier League games against the Merseysiders.

Ange Postecolgou's side earned a 2-2 draw at rivals Arsenal last weekend but come up against a Reds outfit on a 17-game unbeaten run in the league — 10 more matches than any other team in the division.

Mohamed Salah is also on an impressive streak of his own, recording a goal or an assist in each of his last 12 top-flight appearances (six goals, nine assists) and he has scored eight times in 12 meetings with Spurs for Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest vs Brentford (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)

Nottingham Forest are seeking to extend their impressive home record after losing just two of their last 17 top-flight matches at the City Ground.

Brentford go into the game without a win in six matches in all competitions — losing the last three on the spin.

This fixture was a sickener for Thomas Frank's side last season, with a 96th-minute own goal from Mathias Jorgensen earning Forest a 2-2 draw.

Fulham vs Chelsea (Monday, 8pm, Sky Sports)

The West London derby between Fulham and Chelsea brings an end to the matchday's action and the Blues are in dire need of three points.

Mauricio Pochettino's side make the short trip to Craven Cottage three points behind Fulham and are without a victory in their last 18 Premier League encounters with teams above them.

And while Fulham are winless in their last nine London derbies in the top flight, they will be boosted by the fact they have kept three clean sheets in six league outings this season — while Chelsea have failed to score in each of their last three matches in the competition.
