Summer signing Marie Hobinger says she already feels at home at Liverpool as she looks ahead to her first season in the Women's Super League.

The Austria international, 22, made the switch from German side Turbine Potsdam in July, having spent the last campaign on loan at FC Zurich.

With Merseyside the third destination of her relatively short career so far, the attacking midfielder is happy with how quickly she has adjusted.

Hobinger told Liverpoolfc.com: "I had to be very independent from a young age and I think that really helped me develop and grow as a person.

"I'm used to being on my own. Things like cooking and doing my own clothes is something I'm used to. Every single time it is challenging to be at a new club in new surroundings and adapt.

"The girls are amazing. I really like being around them and they really take care of me. They look out for me, and I think that's also really important when you're in a new club and city."

Hobinger — a 28-cap international — is one of six arrivals in Matt Beard's squad this summer as the Reds look to build on a seventh-place finish last term.

And with the WSL set to continue its upward trajectory following this summer's Women's World Cup, Hobinger believes it is an exciting time to be heading to England.

She added: "I think that's something that really makes England even more special at the moment.

"Everyone here is really football crazy and that's why the league is also so competitive, so good and also attractive for foreign players.

"I think it's great that the women's football is growing so fast, and the Euros were a really special event. I've never seen women's football [like that], how the people were cheering for the teams [and] knew the players."

Liverpool kick off their WSL campaign with a blockbuster clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on October 1.
