Welsh Fire to win

Welsh Fire’s only loss from their last four games has been against the title favourites, Oval Invincibles, and it is a surprise that they are priced up as outsiders when they meet London Spirit.

The hosts are struggling after suffering defeat in their opening two games and could fall to another loss when they take on the Spirit.

Team news

Zak Crawley has broken his finger so is set to miss the whole of The Hundred campaign for the London Spirit. He will be replaced by Keaton Jennings but that still remains a big blow for the Spirit.

Ollie Pope may come into the line-up too, potentially replacing Daniel Bell-Drummond.

Welsh Fire could get a major boost to their chances with Haris Rauf and Matt Henry returning from Major League Cricket to bolster their bowling attack.

The stats

David Willey took three wickets in Welsh Fire’s opening game while Joe Clarke hit an unbeaten 33 from 24 balls.

Welsh Fire recorded the third-lowest total in The Hundred history last season, 87 scored against Southern Brave.

Welsh Fire have won two of the three meetings between these two teams.

Prediction

The absence of Zak Crawley is a massive blow for Welsh Fire in this year's Hundred competition

London Spirit have lost both of their games in this year’s edition of The Hundred and look up against it when they face Welsh Fire in their third.

They have batted first in both of those games and managed totals of 138 and 127 respectively, which have both been successfully chased down.

A replication of that may not be enough against a Welsh Fire bowling attack that looks set to be boosted with the inclusion of Haris Rauf and Matt Henry after their stints in Major League Cricket.

That duo will bolster an already-impressive bowling side that contains David Willey and Mason Crane.

Jake Ball took three wickets last time out in his side’s win over Manchester Originals but could be dropped at the expense of one of the incoming overseas players.

London Spirit have been dealt a hammer blow with an injury to Zak Crawley ruling him out and without the England man, their batting lineup could struggle. Take the Fire here.
