Steel An Icon will be looking to complete a hat-trick in the opener at Windsor

There are seven races on the card, including some open handicap contests.

The action is set to get underway at 5.25pm, with the final race off at 8.30pm.

5.25pm - Royal Ascot Tips On attheraces.com Apprentice Handicap (1m3½f)

A switch to turf from the AW has been appreciated by STEEL AN ICON as she has won twice and finished second in her three starts on the surface over the last couple of months.

Mick Channon's runner comes into this race bidding for her third straight victory and it is hard to look past the in-form filly, who is capable of defying her 5lb rise in the weights.

The front-runner should dictate the pace which may lead to her rivals chasing her home from pillow to post.

6pm - British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (5f)

Canonized was second of 13 runners in a Listed contest for fillies at York (5f) on her last appearance, which is good form coming into this sprint race for two-year-olds.

She was also victorious in her penultimate outing at Goodwood so it has been a good start to the season for the novice.

Preference here should be given to ARBOY WILL though as he prevailed over this C&D on his debut back in April.

That was a really smart performance for his opening appearance.

He can do it all over again on his return to action.

LiveScore Selection: Arboy Will

7pm - Fitzdares Racing Sportsbook Of The Year Handicap (6f)

Royal Musketeer and Alphonse Karr are both recent winners and a strong case can be me made for them as they look to add to their accounts.

The latter in particular is open to improvement but he does need to prove himself on turf as his victory last month came on the AW.

The horse with the best form under him so far is SMEATON'S LIGHT

He won nicely at Thirsk earlier this season and came close to another success when he was second at Yarmouth over this distance.

The ground conditions are perfect for him so we could see another smart performance from Mick Channon's runner.

LiveScore Selection: Smeaton's Light

8pm - Fitzdares Is Your Bookmaker For Ascot Handicap (1m)

Since having wind surgery last September, BUCKINGHAM has been so consistent on the track.

He deserved his victory at Bath (1m) earlier this month as he had many near misses at the back end of last year.

The five-year-old gelding has only gone up 3lb for his success as the margin of victory was just a nose.

He found traffic in the final couple of furlongs of that contest otherwise it would have been cosier.

A follow up success would be no surprise as this horse was once rated as high as 86.

LiveScore Selection: Buckingham

8.30pm - Royal Ascot On Sky Sports Racing Novice Stakes (1m2f)

Pertemps Sia is the only winner in the field in the finale
Pertemps Sia is the only winner in the field in the finale

PERTEMPS SIA broke her maiden with her first start on turf when she scored at Redcar (1m2f) last time out.

The filly made all and was particularly impressive in the closing stages as she kept on well to hold off all challengers.

Scott Dixon's novice will need to carry a penalty now as she is the only winner in the field.

Her experience will count for a lot so she can record a repeat success.

LiveScore Selection: Pertemps Sia
