It's day two of Newmarket's July Festival

It is day two of the July Meeting at Newmarket.

The feature race is the Group One Falmouth Stakes at 3.35pm, while the supporting contest comes at 2.25pm with the Group Two Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes for fillies.

Here are five horses to follow across the meeting.

1.15pm - Weatherbys Bloodstock Pro British EBF Maiden Stakes (7f)

A repeat of his last run at Royal Ascot, where SWEEPING finished fourth in the Listed contest over this distance, will see Archie Watson's runner prove hard to beat in this opening race on the card.

The two-year-old colt has shown promising signs on both of his two appearances to date.

His experience will prove invaluable, while he also remains open to improvement.

There are some well-bred horses up against him but they may just need this run as many of them are making their debuts on the track.

1.50pm - bet365 Handicap (1m2f)

PETER THE GREAT has prevailed at this course twice this season, including a C&D victory last time out.

The step up in trip saw the son of New Approach improve further and there could be much more to come.

John and Thady Gosden's colt is making his handicap debut in this race and it looks to be off a mark he can work with.

The obvious danger is likely to be Foxes Tales but Peter The Great will be receiving 10lb from his rival.

LiveScore Selection: Peter The Great

2.25pm - Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes (6f - Group 2)

Andrew Bading's filly SANDRINE has not put a foot wrong so far.

She broke her maiden in a novice contest over 6f at Kempton on her opening outing.

Connections then opted to step their horse up in class in the Group Three Albany Stakes where she rewarded them for their confidence with a victory at the Royal meeting.

Both Hello You and Oscula, the two horses in behind her in second and third place respectively last time, get another shot at Sandrine but it is unlikely they will be able to reverse the result with the unbeaten filly.

LiveScore Selection: Sandrine

3pm - bet365 Trophy (1m6f)

AMTIYAZ has been a consistent operator around this 1m6f trip over the last 12 months.

He landed one of the biggest prizes of his career last time out in the Copper Horse Stakes at Royal Ascot. The stayer showed great heart to score by a head in a close finish.

The handicapper has reacted by raising the horse 4lb in the weights, which seems very fair.

He has a great chance of following up with his second success of the season.

3.35pm - Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes (1m - Group 1)

British Classic winner MOTHER EARTH is bidding for her second Group One success of the year here.

She proved her class when she prevailed in a strong running of the 1000 Guineas at this course on the Rowley Mile.

Aidan O'Brien's runner was behind Alcohol Free and Snow Lantern in the Coronation Stakes on her latest outing.

That run came on heavy ground which did not look to suit her. The 1000 Guineas winner can come out on top this time on better ground.
