Daniel Farke's Leeds side host Derby after losing last time out at Blackburn

- Leeds are third, three points behind leaders Sheffield United
- Derby are 15th in the table
- Recommended bet:
Leeds to win to nil

Leeds' impressive winning form was checked by a 1-0 setback at Blackburn over the weekend, but the Whites should respond with a win over Derby at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds remain the favourites to win the Championship and their recent run of victories over QPR, Swansea and Luton only further underlined the feeling that they are the best all-round side in the division.

However, they slipped up at Ewood Park on Saturday to allow Sheffield United to open up a three-point lead over them at the top, but it is a deficit they should be able to claw back.

Derby, meanwhile, are down in 15th place and head to West Yorkshire with morale low, having lost their last two in the Championship, contributing to a four-games winless run.

Team news

Sam Byram missed the defeat against Blackburn, but it is hoped he will be fit to return to face the Rams, but Joe Gelhardt, Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu are all still sidelined for the hosts.

Derby duo Ebou Adams and Callum Elder are suspended for the trip to Elland Road, while Ryan Nyambe, Tawanda Chirewa and Jake Rooney are all still on the sidelines.

Kenzo Goudmijn and David Ozoh are both rated as major doubts to make the Rams squad this weekend.

The stats

Leeds have won six of their home games in the league this season to nil.

Only Norwich, with 25, have scored more goals at home in the Championship this season than Leeds' total of 20.

Derby have a poor away record, winning just once on the road in the league so far.

The Rams have won just one of their last nine games, drawing five in that run and losing three times.

Prediction

Leeds will be frustrated with their 1-0 defeat at Blackburn, but Rovers are among the stronger teams in the Championship and also have promotion aims this season.

The Whites should quickly make amends by seeing off Derby, who will be wary of getting drawn into the relegation scrap as the campaign develops.

The Rams are only five points above the bottom three and, although they have made a decent fist of things so far in their first season back in the Championship following promotion, a difficult winter appears to be on the cards.

Leeds' home form has been outstanding at fortress Elland Road this season, where they have won seven of their nine games in the league.

Worryingly for the visitors, six of those victories were achieved without them conceding and Derby could be the latest club to leave with nothing, while also failing to get on the scoresheet.
