Juventus to win and both teams not to score

Juventus will be hoping to continue their impressive start to the campaign when they take on Stuttgart at the Allianz Stadium in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Old Lady are yet to taste defeat in all competitions and they head into this clash on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Lazio on Saturday.

Stuttgart, meanwhile, were thrashed 4-0 at Bayern Munich and they could be in for another tough evening when they make the trip to Turin.

Team news

Juve have several injury absentees, with Arkadiusz Milik, Nicolas Gonzalez and Teun Koopmeiners not expected back until November.

Bremer is sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury that will keep him out until early 2025, but Weston McKennie is making progress in his recovery and could be back by the end of this month.

For Stuttgart Nick Woltemade overcame illness to make an appearance off the bench on Saturday and he should be in their matchday squad.

However, Nikolas Nartey, Leonidas Stergiou, Justin Diehl, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Luca Raimund and Chris Fuhrich are set to miss due to injury.

The stats

Juve have won six and drawn four of their 10 assignments this season, leaving them second in Serie A and seventh in the new league phase of the Champions League.

The Old Lady have kept seven clean sheets in the league and have conceded just one goal in the Italian top-flight, the best defensive record in the division.

Stuttgart are on a four-game winless streak heading into the contest, having recorded 1-1 draws against Wolfsburg, Sparta Prague and Hoffenheim and then losing 4-0 at Bayern Munich.

It is now three away matches without success for the German outfit, who were also beaten 3-1 at Real Madrid in their European opener before drawing with Sparta.

Prediction

Juve have been incredible at the back this season, letting in just one goal and they can put in another defensive masterclass when they host an out-of-sorts Stuttgart.

The Allianz Stadium has been a fortress for the Old Lady and they have not lost at the stadium in their last 14 fixtures, keeping nine clean sheets during this period.

PSV and Cagliari are the only sides to have breached Juventus's backline in Turin this term, with Roma, Napoli, Lazio and Como all being blanked on their visits.

Stuttgart's disappointing run of form is a big concern and while they have generally impressed in attack, they failed to hit the back of the net in that crushing defeat at Bayern last time out.

Juventus are a different defensive beast to anything they have faced this season and the Bundesliga side could be in for a long, arduous evening.
