This week's PGA Tour offering is the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run and it promises to be another birdie-fest in Silvis, Illinois.

World number eight Patrick Cantlay's withdrawal on Monday means his place at the top of the market has been taken by South Korean Sungjae Im, who is 16/1 with LiveScore Bet to claim the spoils.

Defending champion Sepp Straka is 18/1 and two-time winner Jordan Spieth, who is desperately searching for form ahead of the Open this month, is priced at 20/1.

McCarthy to make US breakthrough

Denny McCarthy has had some near-misses in search of his maiden PGA Tour title, none more so than his play-off defeat in April's Texas Open, but he can put all the heartache behind him with victory in Illinois.

A hot putter will be key to success this week and the 31-year-old American, who will be refreshed after skipping last week's Rocket Mortgage Classic, is fifth in putting average this season.

McCarthy has recorded back-to-back sixth-placed finishes in his last two starts here and it would be no surprise to see him come out on top.

Dunlap to land second win

Nick Dunlap made history when winning the American Express as an amateur in January and he looks to have a strong chance of landing his first PGA Tour title since turning professional.

The 20-year-old's form dropped at the US Open and Travelers Championship but he bounced back to form with a tied-10th result in Detroit last week, a tournament in which he was unrivalled in greens in regulation and fifth in strokes gained: approach.

With Dunlap boasting a putting average ranking of 15th on the US circuit, he looks to have all the tools to claim the spoils.

Cole to enjoy Illinois outing

Eric Cole is close to getting back inside the world's top 50 after last week's T6 at the Rocket Mortgage and he can keep the momentum going with another solid showing at the John Deere Classic.

The 36-year-old's iron play was sharp in Detroit, where he ranked 18th in strokes gained: approach, while his putting was impressive as he led the way in putts per green in regulation.

Cole, who is 23rd in putting average and 13th in putts per round on the PGA Tour this season, looks ready to make another bold showing for his maiden title at this level.
