Jack Grealish was keen to play down talks of Manchester City being in a "crisis" after returning to winning ways with a comeback victory at Luton.

City were without a win in four Premier League games heading into the clash at Kenilworth Road, having been held by Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham before losing at Aston Villa on Wednesday.

The Hatters threatened to make it five after Elijah Adebayo headed them in front before half-time, but strikes from Bernardo Silva and Grealish secured a 2-1 win for the Treble winners.

Grealish told Sky Sports: "We've got the best manager in the world and world-class players and that's the time we have to use our experience.

"I think a lot of people like to talk about City and go on like it's a big crisis, in reality we've played very good teams.

"Spurs who've been unbelievable, Liverpool who are top, Chelsea and Aston Villa away, who've got one of the best records in the whole of Europe.

"We knew we had to keep calm today and buzzing to get back to winning ways.

"We knew it was going to be one of those games, fair play to them, they are better than a lot of people give them credit for. We needed a lot of patience, we dominated the first half.

"I can't really remember them having too many chances and then obviously they get a goal at the end of the first half which was a blow for us.

"We were saying to each other that we need to move the ball and not rush things. The more you move the ball the more and the gaps open up and that's what we did in the second half."

City were without star man Erling Haaland for the Sunday afternoon game and Grealish was pleased with how they coped — singling out praise for Julian Alvarez who started up front in the Norwegian's absence.

The 28-year-old added: "This was one game where we would have been desperate for him [Haaland]. When a team goes man-for-man, Erling is brilliant to have up front.

"Julian was up there and did brilliantly, he got an assist for myself."
