Valerien Ismael has got Watford going in the right direction and they can make it three wins in four games on Saturday

- Watford are unbeaten in their last four matches
- Huddersfield have conceded four goals in three of their last five fixtures
- Recommended bet: Watford to win

Watford missed the chance to register a third successive Championship victory when drawing 2-2 at home to Millwall on Saturday but they will be looking to boost their promotion hopes by aiming for three points against struggling Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium.

The Hornets have climbed from 20th to 16th since the October international break and are sitting just six points outside the play-off places.

But second-tier rivals Huddersfield have a battle on their hands towards the lower end of the table after sustaining back-to-back losses at home to Cardiff (0-4) and away to Leeds (1-4).

Darren Moore's Terriers have slipped to fourth bottom, although they are five points outside of the relegation zone.

Team news

Influential Huddersfield midfielder Jack Rudoni faces a few weeks on the sidelines after injuring a foot in the 4-0 loss at home to Cardiff.

Josh Koroma (groin) could return but Jonathan Hogg serves a one-match ban and injured trio Josh Ruffels, David Kasumu and Danny Ward remain out of contention.

Watford right-back Ryan Andrews is available after completing a four-match suspension.

Andrews will compete with Jeremy Ngakia, while centre-forward Mileta Rajovic hopes to earn a start after coming off the bench to score a late equaliser in Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Millwall.

Centre-back Wesley Hoedt is one booking away from triggering a one-match ban.

The stats

It has been a tough start for Darren Moore with just one win in his first seven games at Huddersfield

Huddersfield have conceded 27 Championship goals this season which is the joint-highest in the division, alongside Norwich.

The Terriers have shipped four goals in three of their last five fixtures.

They have not scored more than two goals in any of their last 21 matches. The last time Huddersfield scored more than two goals was back in April when they won 3-2 at Watford.

Watford are unbeaten in their last four matches.

They had gone 16 away games without a victory before winning 1-0 at Swansea on their last road trip.

Prediction

Watford have put together a four-game unbeaten run for the first time this season and their resurgence can continue with a victory over Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium.

It is doubtful whether Watford have the necessary offensive quality to force themselves into the promotion picture but they are going through a decent spell and they appear to be taking on Huddersfield at the right time.

Huddersfield shipped four first-half goals in Saturday's 4-1 loss away to Leeds and there are limited options for Darren Moore to change things around, due to a lengthy injury list and a suspension for holding midfielder Jonathan Hogg.

Watford's squad looks in a much healthier state with Swedish international winger Ken Sema returning to full fitness and right-back Ryan Andrews available after a ban.

Hornets' boss Valerien Ismael has plenty of choices and he can come up with a winning formula.
