Fulham to win

There is a West London derby to look forward to on Monday night as Fulham entertain Brentford in the final game from this latest round of Premier League fixtures.

The Bees went into the weekend one point and one place above their hosts but Thomas Frank’s side are still seeking their first away points of the season.

Fulham have picked up just one point from their last three games, although they have faced two of the current top four during that run.

Team news

Fulham could welcome back Timothy Castagne after he returned to training following a hamstring problem but Sasa Lukic is out with a shoulder issue.

Kristoffer Ajer is available again for Brentford, but Rico Henry, Gustavo Nunes, Igor Thiago, Aaron Hickey and Josh Dasilva are all missing.

Fulham have picked up seven of their 12 points this season at Craven Cottage.

Brentford have conceded at least twice in all four of their Premier League away games.

The Bees have lost 16 of their last 23 Premier League away games stretching back to the start of last season.

Both teams have scored in seven of Fulham’s last eight games across all competitions.

Prediction

Brentford have a fantastic record against local rivals Fulham and have only lost two of the last 11 meetings between these two sides, with one of those defeats coming in extra time, but the Cottagers may be able to pick up a rare win over the Bees on Monday.

Fulham’s only home loss this term has come at the hands of top-four hopefuls Aston Villa as they picked up seven points from their opening three league games at Craven Cottage.

Brentford have lost all four of their away games so far. Frank’s troops have had some tough fixtures but their road woes extend way back into last season, where they lost 12 of their 19 trips, and Fulham look well placed to make the most of their home advantage.

The Cottagers are winless in their last three games but they have had a tough run — facing top four pair Manchester City and Aston Villa during that spell — and performance levels have remained high even if they have not been getting the results.

Marco Silva's men can now get back to winning ways against a visiting Bees side who have been poor on their travels for some time.
