Diogo Jota has made a strong start to the season for Liverpool, having been preferred to Darwin Nunez.

The first international break of the season will have come at a good time for some sides, looking at you Manchester United, but could threaten to break the momentum of early frontrunners Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Fantasy Premier League is no different. Those at the bottom of their leagues can use this time for research as they play catch-up, while the players in an early lead will be hoping to keep their places at the top.

No matter which camp you find yourself in, some players are must-haves for your FPL teams ahead of week four and we have picked out five of the best.

Erling Haaland, Man City (Forward)

Before the season’s start there was a genuine argument about whether to leave Erling Haaland out of your team. Three games in and that argument has already been thrown out of the window.

A third consecutive golden boot already seems likely following the Norwegian’s seven goals in three matches and he is now a must-own in FPL.

His £15.2m price tag is hefty, but he is so good that you simply must find the means to get him into your side.

Diogo Jota, Liverpool (Midfielder)

Darwin Nunez still cannot get a look-in at Liverpool and Diogo Jota looks set to continue as the Reds’ striker for the foreseeable future.

The Portuguese forward has one goal and one assist in three matches this term and, with his front-three partners Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah also in great form, he has some fantastic finishers to create for, while he is also likely to get plenty of chances of his own.

Jota has six goals in his five previous appearances, including three in his last two against Nottingham Forest and is in the form to hurt the Tricky Trees again.

Alexander Isak, Newcastle (Forward)

Alexander Isak was transferred out by over 480,000 FPL users ahead of Gameweek 3, the most of any player in the game, but he proved those doubters wrong by netting the winner against Spurs.

He is fairly pricey, but with some clever shifting around you can fit both Isak and Haaland into your side and that could pay dividends this weekend.

Newcastle are taking on Wolves, who he netted against last term and, after scoring three in two matches for Sweden over the international break, he seems to have found his shooting boots.

Versatile midfielder Eberechi Eze remains a key figure in the plans of Crystal Palace.

Eberechi Eze, Midfielder (Crystal Palace)

Leicester have already shown signs they will struggle this term and, after shipping five in three league games, there is a real possibility Palace could put them to the sword on Saturday.

Eberechi Eze is at the forefront of everything the Eagles do going forward and he could be a real steal for your FPL side, having netted in each of his last two games.

The England star cruelly had a goal disallowed against Brentford and hit the woodwork against West Ham.

He is a livewire who is not afraid to shoot and he could get plenty of chances against an open Foxes side.

Adama Traore, Midfielder (Fulham)

While the previous four picks were likely to be on your radar already, Adama Traore is a player whose start to the season has been somewhat under-rated.

The Fulham winger has scored one goal and provided one assist in just 237 minutes of league action this term and his pace could cause West Ham all sorts of issues this weekend.

The Hammers’ defence has looked fairly open this season and their high line was exploited by Man City on numerous occasions last weekend, suggesting that Traore, one of the fastest players in the league, could get numerous chances on Saturday.

He has the most points of any £5m player in FPL and represents great value.

Captain pick: Erling Haaland

It is the boring pick, but you simply cannot ignore Erling Haaland as your captain pick this week following his consecutive hat-tricks.

The Norwegian scored one and assisted another in his two meetings with Brentford last term and could continue his frightening form at the Etihad this weekend.
