There are only four Premier League games across Saturday and Sunday due to the winter break but there is still plenty of excitement expected as the matches include Manchester City's trip to Newcastle and Manchester United hosting Tottenham.

There is also a full Championship fixture list and action across Europe from the likes of Serie A, LaLiga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Here are our five predicted goalscorers to keep an eye on over the weekend.

Back Albert Gudmundsson to score against Torino @ 11/4

Iceland forward Albert Gudmundsson has already hit eight Serie A goals for Genoa this season and he approaches Saturday's home game against Torino in fine form.

The 26-year-old has scored three times and registered two assists in his last four Serie A outings and he can hurt Torino, who have struggled on the road of late as they have failed to win or even get on the scoresheet in their last three away games.

Back Adam Armstrong to score against Sheffield Wednesday @ 21/20

Southampton sit well placed to mount an automatic promotion challenge in the second half of the season as they are third in the Championship, three points behind second-placed Ipswich.

Russell Martin's men entertain relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and Adam Armstrong will be keen to add to his tally of 13 league goals so far and extend Saints' unbeaten run in the second tier to 19 games in the process.

Back Tom Bradshaw to score against Middlesbrough @ 14/5

Millwall are another Championship team in good shape at the moment as the Lions have won their last three league games without conceding.

One of their standout players so far this season has been experienced forward Tom Bradshaw, who has weighed in with four league goals, of which three have come in his last seven appearances.

Boro will be difficult opponents for Joe Edwards' side as they will be on a high following their impressive Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg win over Chelsea on Tuesday, but in Bradshaw, the hosts have a viable goal threat.

Back Phil Foden to score against Newcastle @ 17/10

Manchester City will want to move just two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend by seeing off Newcastle at St James' Park, putting pressure on the Reds in the process as they enjoy a weekend off.

Pep Guardiola's side have looked close to their best again in recent games, beating Everton 3-1 and Sheffield United 2-0 in the league, before they outclassed Huddersfield in the FA Cup third round, winning 5-0 at the Etihad.

One of their star men during that recent winning run has been Phil Foden, who scored City's first at Goodison Park before hitting a brace against Town last weekend, and the England ace can continue his hot streak against the Magpies.

Back Brennan Johnson to score against Manchester United @ 14/5

Sunday's 4.30pm kick-off in the Premier League sees top-four hopefuls Tottenham go to inconsistent Manchester United with Ange Postecoglou's side looking to maintain their solid away form this season.

Spurs have won five of their 10 away league matches so far, drawing three times and losing just twice, and their 22 goals on the road is the most by any side in the top flight this term.

Johnson has only scored once so far following his big-money move from Nottingham Forest but he looked very sharp last time out in the FA Cup win over Burnley when he attempted six shots, four of which were on target.

Johnson should therefore head to Old Trafford confident another goal for Spurs cannot be too far away.
