Ferencvaros and Tottenham clash in the Hungarian capital Budapest and the Premier League side will be eager to make it two wins out of two in the Europa League.

Spurs have three points on the board from Matchday 1 courtesy of a 3-0 win over Qarabaq, while Ferencvaros are playing catch-up after a narrow 2-1 loss at Anderlecht.

Team news

Brazilian striker Matheus Saldanha is pushing for a start for the hosts after scoring a hat-trick in Sunday's 3-0 win against Puskas.

Spurs may have to field a strong defence with back-up centre-back Radu Dragusin suspended, Destiny Udogie a doubt and Djed Spence not registered.

Further forward, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and possibly Son Heung-min are out, while the likes of Archie Gray, Yves Bissouma, Lucas Bergvall and Mikey Moore can expect starts in a reshuffled line-up.

The stats

Ferencvaros have failed to win any of their last five European ties since the start of August.

Striker Matheus Saldanha has scored six goals in his last four appearances.

Tottenham have won four matches in a row, the last two by 3-0 scorelines and forward Brennan Johnson has scored in each of his last four matches.

Prediction

Ferencvaros, pretty much invincible domestically this season, are bracing themselves for an altogether stiffer test against Tottenham.

The Hungarians have won all six league games, conceding only two goals, but they have struggled in Europe.

After thrashing Welsh side The New Saints in the Champions League they were knocked out of that competition 3-1 on aggregate by Midtjylland.

Demoted to the Europa League, they drew twice with Bosnians Banja Luka - winning on penalties - before losing 2-1 at Anderlecht on Matchday 1.

If they are struggling against sides like those, then they would have to fear the worst against Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou will make changes, as he did against Qarabaq last week. Ominously, however, they played much of that game with ten men and still ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.

The Australian is blessed with pacy options even if he dips into his bench and that means that any wide combo permed from the likes of Johnson, Son, Moore, Timo Werner or Dejan Kulusevski is going to frighten the life out of the hosts' defence.

Expect tackles and, inevitably, fouls, with right-back Endre Botka decent value to pick up a fourth card in six matches.
