Green Eagle Golf Courses in Hamburg, Germany is the destination for DP World Tour action this week with a star-studded field ready to do battle for the European Open title.

Measuring 7,882 yards, the par-73 North Course, fittingly known as the 'Green Monster', is not one for the faint-hearted and the bigger hitters could have an advantage this week.

Northern Irishman Tom McKibbin claimed a two-shot victory last year and he is 20/1 with LiveScore Bet to become the first player to successfully retain the title since it moved to this venue in 2017.

Mansell on the right track

Given the North Course's mammoth length it seems right to look down the route of a strong driver of the ball and one player that thrives in this area is Richard Mansell, who is 27th in driving accuracy and averages 306 yards in distance.

The 29-year-old Englishman is third in strokes gained: tee-to-green this season and he also arrives in solid form after finishing tied-13th at last week's Soudal Open, his third top-15 of the year going alongside his two top-10 results.

Mansell's last two efforts here have produced results of third and 29th, highlighting his affinity for this venue, and his ranking of fifth in par-five scoring could prove crucial given the fact there are six par-fives to negotiate.

Wiesberger can return to winners' enclosure

Back on the DP World Tour after a couple of years on the LIV circuit, Bernd Wiesberger has been showing positive signs this year and a ninth DPWT title does not look far away at all.

The Austrian is 14th in driving accuracy and is unrivalled in strokes gained: tee-to-green, while he has also impressed getting up-and-down as he ranks first in both scrambling and sand saves.

Sitting 20th and ninth in par-five and par-four scoring respectively, Wiesberger has the power to handle this layout and he impressed when finishing fifth here in 2019.

Girrbach to be in the mix

A interesting player in the field is Switzerland's rising star Joel Girrbach, who has been ticking along nicely in recent weeks and provides real value at 100/1 with LiveScore Bet.

The 30-year-old produced solid efforts of T13, T18 and T3 before missing the cut at last week's Soudal Open, but that outing in Belgium was his first for a couple of weeks and he should have shaken off any rustiness in his play.

Girrbach is bullet-straight off the tee, ranking third in driving accuracy, while he is 18th in strokes gained: tee-to-green and 27th in greens in regulation.

His only previous attempt here came in 2019, where he missed the cut by just one shot, but he has improved his game since then and is one to watch out for.
