The Champions League group stage draw takes place on Thursday evening

Four Premier League sides will find out their Champions League group stage opponents in Thursday's draw.

Here is all the information you need as Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle learn their fate.

When is the draw?

The draw will start at 5pm UK time on Thursday evening at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

How will the draw work?

The 32 teams who have qualified for Europe's elite competition will be split into eight groups of four, comprised of a team from each seeding pot.

As usual, teams from the same country will be kept apart until at least the quarter-final stage with selected other pairing restrictions also in place.

How are the pots decided?

Pot 1 consists of the Champions League and Europa League winners alongside the domestic champions of England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Portugal.

As Manchester City won both the Champions League and Premier League, Eredivisie winners Feyenoord have also claimed a space in Pot 1.

The teams Pots 2-4 are determined using the club coefficient rankings, based on their results in the last five seasons in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.

Which teams are in which pots?

Man City are in Pot 1 alongside Sevilla, Barcelona, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica and Feyenoord.

Both United and Arsenal are set to avoid the likes of Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund, who will be in Pot 2 alongside the English duo.

Newcastle's first involvement in the Champions League for 20 years sees them take a place in Pot 4, opening up the opportunity of being paired with some of Europe's heavyweights.

Man City duo Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are competing for the men's award against World Cup winner Lionel Messi.

Two of Spain's World Cup-winning side — Aitana Bonmati and Olga Carmona — are nominated for the women's award, as is Jorge Vilda in the coach category amid the ongoing crisis relating to Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales.
