Carlo Ancelotti heaped praise on Arda Guler after the youngster scored his first Real Madrid goal in a comfortable 4-0 win over Celta Vigo.

Vinicius Junior set the hosts on their way to victory early on, though it took them until the 79th minute to secure the result through own goals from Vicente Guaita and then Carlos Dominguez.

Guler, 19, then rounded off the result by jinking past the keeper before slotting the ball into an open net.

And despite a lack of game time, Ancelotti is convinced that the Turkish international will become an important figure at the Bernabeu in years to come.

He said: "Arda Guler has a future here at Real Madrid.

"He has played very little, but he was convinced that he could do something.

"He made a move of great skill. He is a great talent, he has improved a lot and plays with more intensity now.

"He has a future here, no doubt about it."

Los Blancos sit comfortably at the top of La Liga with a seven-point cushion on second-placed Girona and a hefty +42 goal difference.

However, Ancelotti has urged his side to remain humble ahead of the final stretch of the season and is especially excited to see the return of key players from injury.

The Italian added: "We face it [the final stretch] with maximum enthusiasm. We have another very complicated game before the [international] break against a very strong opponent.

"We are also excited because [Eder] Militao and [Thibaut] Courtois will soon return and we will have a more complete squad."
