In-form Cameron Blues struck a stoppage time winner as Greenock Morton upset Partick Thistle with a 2-1 Scottish Championship victory.

Owen Moffat and Jordan Davies went close for Morton in the first half as the hosts belied their lowly league position with some positive football.

Morton were rewarded from a slick counter-attack after 54 minutes when Moffatt slipped in Filip Stuparevic and the on-loan Serbian forward calmly found the bottom corner of the net.

Aidan Fitzpatrick equalised for fourth-placed Thistle seven minutes later, slotting home a Logan Chalmers pass from close range.

But Blues headed home Michael Garrity’s cross in the second minute of stoppage time, his third goal in four appearances, to give Morton only a third league win in 12 games and lift them to seventh.
