The DP World Tour heads to Germany for the 35th edition of the BMW International Open, a tournament being staged at Golfclub Munchen Eichenried for the fifth time in a row.

American Patrick Reed, in need of world rankings points due to his LIV status, was T29 at last week's Italian Open and he has been installed as one of the joint-favourites at 16/1 with LiveScore Bet.

Lawrence set for successful defence

South African Thriston Lawrence claimed the spoils last year on his second BMW International Open appearance and he looks to have every chance of becoming the first player to successfully retain the title.

The 27-year-old thrived on the greens when winning 12 months ago and he has continued to shine with the flat stick, as he ranks first in strokes gained: putting and second for putts per greens in regulation this season.

His last DP World Tour outing ended with a tied-second finish at the European Open in Germany and he is capable of putting in another bold showing in the country.

Fox to get in the mix

Ryan Fox has been playing the majority of his golf on the PGA Tour this season and he has recorded some solid results, with a top-five finish at the Myrtle Beach Classic and a tie for seventh at the Canadian Open his standout displays.

The New Zealander should benefit from this drop down in level and his putting has been strong on the US circuit, as he ranks 33rd for strokes gained in that department.

Fox has had three trips to this course, recording finishes of 26th, 14th and third and he can get in contention again.

Pavan to challenge for second Munich triumph

Andrea Pavan lifted the trophy here in 2018 and although his last two outings at the course have resulted in a disqualification and a withdrawal, he is worth looking at to taste success for a second time in Germany.

The Italian has hit some form in recent weeks, securing back-to-back top-five finishes at the KLM Open and Italian Open and he can keep that momentum going in Munich.

Pavan's approach play has been stellar this season – he ranks 13th in GIR and 22nd in SG: approach – while there has been an improvement with the putter over his last two outings.
