England sealed top spot in Group B with a 3-0 victory over Wales, consigning the Dragons to World Cup elimination.

After a cagey first half with little goalmouth action, Three Lions forward Marcus Rashford broke the deadlock with a fine free-kick five minutes after the interval.

Manchester United attacker Rashford was one of four changes made to the starting line-up by boss Gareth Southgate, with Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and Jordan Henderson also included in the XI.

And it was Foden who doubled England's lead two minutes later, tapping home from Harry Kane's right-wing cross.

Despite then making four substitutions, including a chance to grant Kane a welcome rest, Southgate's side confirmed their domination when Rashford cut in from the right to slam the ball past Danny Ward for his second and England's third in the 68th minute.

Wales struggled for fluidity throughout the one-sided contest, losing Neco Williams to concussion after 36 minutes with skipper Gareth Bale also substituted at half-time.

Rob Page's men finish bottom of the group, with only one point from their three games, while the United States will join England in the last 16 thanks to their 1-0 win over Iran.

USA will face the Netherlands in their knockout clash on Saturday, while the Three Lions will take on Senegal on Sunday.
