Wolves thumped struggling Watford 4-0 at Molineux to end their three-game Premier League losing streak in style.

Raul Jimenez opened the scoring for the hosts 13 minutes in, rolling the ball into the bottom corner from close range after being found by Hee Chan Hwang.

Just five minutes later, Bruno Lage's men doubled their lead as Cucho Hernandez inadvertently diverted Rayan Ait-Nouri's cross into his own net at the near post.

It only took another three minutes for the West Midlands side to make it 3-0, with Ben Foster passing straight to Daniel Podence while off his line, allowing the Portuguese forward to clip the ball into an empty net from distance.

Ruben Neves added a sensational fourth late on — producing an audacious, lobbed finish over Foster from inside the box to add further gloss to the scoreline.

Watford head coach Roy Hodgson revealed his disappointment with the performance and suggested time is beginning to run out for the Hornets, who are three points from safety having played three games more than 17th-placed Everton.

He said: "Wolves are a quality team and had a good season with some top-class international players. At half-time we were staring down the barrel of a gun. We had to salvage something from the game and hold them at bay. 

"It was a wonder chip from Neves but at 3-0 you are in big trouble. We didn’t defend the first one well enough, the next two it is pretty obvious. All the goals are mistakes, some are clearer mistakes than others. 

"It was disappointing in every respect. We have a very sad dressing room. That is what we sign up for. It gets hard when your players don’t care enough, but we are not in that position yet. 

"We have to hold our hands up that we are not good enough at times, but not that they don’t care. These players need to feel anxiety because we are running out of time."

Lage's side found themselves 3-0 ahead after just 21 minutes, the earliest they have gone three goals up in a Premier League game.

Jimenez netted his 40th Premier League goal for Wolves tonight, 18 more than any other player for the club.
