Transfer Talk: Kane keen on Bundesliga as Bayern up bid

Harry Kane wants to join Bayern Munich this summer

Bayern Munich have made an improved offer of £70million plus add-ons for England captain Harry Kane.

The Bundesliga champions had an opening bid rejected last month but hope that this proposal will tempt Tottenham to sell, report The Guardian

Kane is out of contract next summer and has yet to sign a new one, leaving Spurs at risk of losing him for free should they refuse to sell him in this window.

Despite that, it is expected that the North London club will reject the latest proposal as they value their record goalscorer at £100m.

Bayern have been offered encouragement that Kane would be interested in a move to Germany.

The 29-year-old is yet to win a single major trophy and knows that a switch to Munich would almost certainly see him end that drought.

It appears that the allure of silverware would even convince the Three Lions skipper to give up on his dream of breaking the all-time Premier League goals record.

Kane has scored 213 times in the top flight  — 47 short of Alan Shearer's 260  — and would surely surpass the Newcastle legend if he continues to play in England.
