Tottenham to win and both teams to score

Tottenham will look to move into the Premier League's top four this weekend when they play host to struggling Ipswich on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs are seventh in the table and are only three points behind third-placed Nottingham Forest, while several teams above them face tricky fixtures this weekend.

Ipswich came close to beating Leicester in their previous encounter, but a costly red card for Kalvin Phillips helped the Foxes record a 1-1 draw.

Team news

Tottenham forward Richarlison is sidelined until December with a hamstring injury, while Cristian Romero will need to shake off a toe injury to feature.

Djed Spence is hoping to recover from a groin injury to take his place on the bench, but Timo Werner, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert and Micky van de Ven are all sidelined.

Phillips is suspended for Ipswich due to his two yellow cards against Leicester, so Jens Cajuste and Massimo Luongo will compete to replace him.

Harry Clarke returns from suspension, but Chiedozie Ogbene, Jacob Greaves, Axel Tuanzebe, Jack Taylor and Janoi Donacien are all in the treatment room.

Kieran McKenna's Ipswich are still chasing their first win of the season

The stats

Tottenham were beaten 3-2 in their last game by Galatasaray in the Europa League, but Spurs have won 10 of their 16 games in all competitions this season.

Publicidad

Ange Postecoglou's side have won six games in a row at home, scoring two goals or more in five of those fixtures.

Ipswich are still without a win in the Premier League this season and they have only collected five points from their opening 10 matches.

However, they should be able to get on the scoresheet, having scored in four of their five away games, while Tottenham have only kept two clean sheets in 10 Premier League outings.

Prediction

Spurs made a huge statement last weekend with a resounding 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the league and a similar scoreline could be on the cards in this battle.

Tottenham have scored three or more goals in five of their 10 league games this season, while Ipswich have conceded four in three of their five away trips.

With the hosts still to adjust their tactics to protect themselves at the back, Ipswich should be able to exploit some gaps in the Spurs defence, especially with Van de Ven out injured.

However, a consolation goal is all they should be able to muster, with Spurs one of the form teams in the division when playing at home.
