QPR's Jimmy Dunne scored a stunning injury-time winner against survival rivals Birmingham on Friday and the Hoops are aiming to continue their resurgence on Monday's trip to Swansea.

Dunne's strike gave QPR their fourth win in seven games and the west Londoners have lost only twice in their last 12 Championship fixtures.

They face another of the second tier's improvers in Swansea, who have found their feet under manager Luke Williams and are bidding for a third straight home win after successes against Blackburn and Welsh rivals Cardiff.

Team news

Swansea forwards Jamal Lowe and Jerry Yates should be restored to the starting line-up. Josh Key is likely to keep his place at right-back as Kyle Naughton and Harrison Ashby are injured.

Sinclair Armstrong and Lyndon Dykes are hoping for recalls to the QPR attacking unit and experienced midfielder Jack Colback could also start.

Publicidad

Both teams have scored in only six of QPR's 19 away games this season

Marti Cifuentes' QPR will avoid relegation if they keep up their current form

Prediction

Three of the last five Championship meetings between Swansea and QPR have ended in draws and the teams also had one 1-0 win apiece during that period.

Another tight contest looks likely on Monday as QPR are on their best run of form since Marti Cifuentes was appointed manager in October and Swansea have lost only once in six games.

September's reverse fixture finished 1-1 after Lyndon Dykes scored a late equaliser for the Hoops, whose last away game was a goalless draw at Sunderland.

They were on course for a third draw in four matches until Dunne's brilliant 92nd-minute strike clinched a 2-1 win over Birmingham on Friday.

That moved QPR four points clear of the relegation zone and a draw at Swansea would not be a bad result in terms of their survival chances.

The Swans, only four points better off than their visitors, beat Cardiff 2-0 in their last home game before last week's 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

Jamal Lowe scored Swansea's second goal in the sixth minute of second-half injury-time and that was the only one of their last seven matches to be settled by more than a one-goal margin, so the draw is a big runner on Monday.
