The Serie A title fight is a three-horse race, with Juventus currently out in front.

Yet the going also looks good for their rivals Inter Milan, while AC Milan could be capable of making a late surge too.

Ahead of this weekend's fixtures in the Italian top flight, we take a look at the remaining runners and riders.

Juve leading

Juventus went top of Serie A last Sunday with a 3-0 win at Lecce.

The Old Lady moved a point ahead of Inter, who hold a game in hand.

It was a victory that stretched Juve's unbeaten record across all competitions to 18 games, of which they have won their last seven.

The Turin giants have the benefit of not competing in Europe and are attempting to land a domestic double, having reached the semi-final stage of the Coppa Italia.

Max Allegri gave his thoughts on the title race after the win over Lecce.

He said: "We're working hard to win as many games as we can and above all, we're growing increasingly calm and reading the different moments of games, which gives us a greater awareness.

"We've all grown together in the last few years, step by step and now we have a good team that is continuing along that same path.

"The goal is to try to make impossible things possible, then if there's anybody better than us at the end of it all, we'll congratulate them."

Inter advantage

Inter lost their lead at the top of Serie A over the weekend without playing in the competition.

Simone Inzaghi's team were busy in the Supercoppa Italiana, which they won by beating Napoli 1-0 in the final.

Their unbeaten run in the league stretches to 14 matches and they hold that game in hand, which could prove crucial in the title race.

Inter have a tough trip to Fiorentina on Sunday, followed by a home match against Juventus on February 4.

In the reverse fixture of the Derby d'Italia earlier this season, the rivals drew 1-1 in Turin.

This week, Inzaghi spoke about the title fight against the Bianconeri and he was also not ruling out a rival closer to home.

Inzaghi, 47, said: "The league is seeing a brilliant title race between Inter and Juventus.

"And I also shouldn't forget about Milan. They have a great squad and are in good form. I think we can consider them in it as well."

Milan threat

AC Milan were beaten 5-1 by Inter Milan earlier this season

Milan are third in Serie A, seven points behind leaders Juve. They trail Inter by six, who have a game in hand on them.

Stefano Pioli's team have found some consistent form. Unbeaten in six league outings, they have won each of their last four top-flight matches.

Yet the Rossoneri are going to have to significantly improve in the second half of the season if they are to overhaul their rivals.

They lost 5-1 away at Inter and 1-0 at home to Juventus earlier in the campaign.

April will be a crucial month for the San Siro giants, when they play the Derby della Madonnina, followed by their away trip to the Old Lady, in successive fixtures.

As much as Milan have an outsider's chance, it looks likely to be a straight fight between the top two.

With Juve having no European distractions and Inter having played a game fewer, it is too early to separate the pair in this fascinating title race.
