A seven-race card takes place on the all-weather at Kempton Park on Wednesday evening, with the highlight being the London Middle Distance Series Qualifier at 8.30pm. 

They race at the Sunbury track from 5.55pm through until 9.00pm on what is forecast to be a perfect summer's evening for racing, and we've got five to follow on the card. 

5.55pm - British Stallion Studs EBF Restricted Novice Stakes (1m)

Ed Walker will have high hopes that Peak Perfect can build on a pleasing third at Ffos Las a fortnight ago on debut. He should improve and this slightly longer trip is favourable but the shadow of BERKSHIRE BREEZE looms. 

Trainer Andrew Balding has sent out a couple of 2YOs (from just three attempts) to make winning debuts here this season and, with Oisin Murphy up, this Mastercraftsman colt looks a likely sort on paper.

6.25pm - Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Handicap Division 1 (1m)

SOLOMONS JUDGEMENT ran a fine third over C&D at the start of the month, a race won by a subsequent winner, and Jane Chapple-Hyam's gelding returns here having edged a narrow verdict himself a fortnight ago at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm). 

The assessor has tagged on the minimum for that effort and so his chances are clear returning to this venue.

6.55pm - Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Handicap Division 2 (1m)

The market support arrived for THUNDERCLAP when he ran here three weeks ago and the Night Of Thunder gelding delivered in emphatic fashion to shed the maiden tag at the sixth attempt. 

The fourth has won since at Lingfield and, with Hughie Morrison's team in fine order at the moment (30 per-cent strike-rate from 20 runners lately), it's easy enough to suggest this 3YO will defy a 6lb rise to oblige again in the hands of champion jockey Oisin Murphy.

8.00pm - Unibet New Instant Roulette Fillies' Handicap (1m4f)

It's worth keeping an eye on Marco Botti's representative SUMMERTIME ROMANCE as she makes her first foray into handicaps here. 

She is by Declaration Of War and, while well beaten in three appearances thus far, there were definite signs of ability over C&D three weeks ago in a race won comprehensively by the Gosdens inmate Pennymoor. 

She took fourth in the end, making some late gains. She could improve off an opening mark of 70.

8.30pm - Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day (London Middle Distance Series Qualifier) Handicap (1m3f)

While Zikany and King Of Tsavo are rightly considered dangers for Sir Michael Stoute and Roger Charlton, there's a feeling that IRISH LEGEND can take this and make it 3-3 on the all-weather. 

He won over 1m2f at Chelmsford (November) and Newcastle (May) - with his only defeat in four starts to that point being in a Sandown Group 3 on his seasonal bow in April. 

He's not had much luck in three turf handicaps since, notably meeting all sorts of traffic issues last time at Glorious Goodwood (fourth) last month. A hold-up performer, this track and facing just six rivals ought to play right to his strengths.
