Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique played down Kylian Mbappe injury concerns after the French striker was substituted in their 4-0 win over Marseille.

The 24-year-old was unable to continue playing after being treated for an ankle issue early in the match.

After the game, the Spanish tactician claimed the substitution was just a precaution.

He said: "I don't know exactly what happened but I think it was a knock. He tried to change the strapping on it and continue but the pain wouldn't go away.

"I don't think it is anything serious and I suppose he will be back soon but it is better not to take risks when a player is not 100%."

Goncalo Ramos was brought on in place of Kylian Mbappe and bagged a brace

Despite Mbappe's absence, the defending Ligue 1 champions had little trouble thrashing a lacklustre Marseille 4-0.

Achraf Hakimi started the scoring for PSG with an unstoppable free-kick before Randal Kolo Muani pounced fastest on a rebound to score his first goal for the club.

In the second half, Goncalo Ramos made his mark by putting away Ousmane Dembele's delivery and then tapped home a pass from Kolo Muani after a tearing run to seal the hosts' victory.

The Portuguese striker was happy to get his first goals for the club but called for focus on the next match.

He said: "I'm happy because it's a huge win against a good team and I am happy because finally I [was able] to score my goals.

"It is special, it is fine to enjoy now [the win], but tomorrow is a new day, so we must focus on the next game already."
