The Premier League is back in full swing after the winter break and FA Cup fourth round weekend.

And with all 20 teams playing between Tuesday and Thursday, Matchday 22 has plenty of exciting action in store at the top and bottom of the division.

Liverpool host Chelsea and Arsenal face a tricky game at Nottingham Forest, while Manchester City appear to have the most straightforward task of the title challengers at home to Burnley.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal (Tuesday, 7.30pm, TNT Sports)

Arsenal have won only two of their last eight away games and are without a victory in any of their last four on the road.

Life will not get any easier at Forest considering the Gunners have lost their last three matches at the City Ground.

Forest's last two league victories have been over sides that finished in last season's top four — a 2-1 win against Manchester United and a 3-1 success at Newcastle.

Fulham vs Everton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Fulham are aiming to complete a league double over Everton for the first time in 30 attempts at Craven Cottage.

But they face an uphill task considering only Manchester City and Liverpool have won more away games than Sean Dyche's side this season.

No goalkeeper has kept more Premier League clean sheets than Jordan Pickford's seven this season and the Cottagers have failed to score in a division-high nine games.

Luton vs Brighton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Joao Pedro has starred for Brighton this season

Having scored in 32 consecutive league games between March and December last year, Brighton could become the first team ever to start a calendar year with three straight Premier League goalless draws.

The Seagulls are on the hunt for their third league clean sheet in a row for the first time since August 2022.

Luton will fancy their chances of scoring, though, having done so in nine of their 10 home matches in the top flight this term.

Crystal Palace vs Sheffield United (Tuesday, 8pm)

Crystal Palace have won three consecutive games against Sheffield United without conceding in any of them, including a 1-0 win at Bramall Lane on the opening weekend of this campaign.

The Blades have lost 16 of their last 19 top-flight away matches, losing eight and drawing two of their 10 road trips this term.

Palace have Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise available to start for just the fourth time this season. They beat Brentford in December on the last occasion both started.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle (Tuesday, 8.15pm, TNT Sports)

Eddie Howe is looking to mastermind a Newcastle win at Aston Villa

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last seven home league matches against Newcastle, winning all of the last four.

That does not bode well for the Magpies' chances of securing a league double over Villa for the first time since 2013-14.

Only Manchester City have trailed for fewer minutes than Unai Emery's side in home Premier League outings in the 2023-24 campaign.

Manchester City vs Burnley (Wednesday, 7.30pm, TNT Sports)

Manchester City have lost just one of their last 49 Premier League home games against promoted teams, a 2-1 defeat to Leeds in April 2021.

City have spent the most time winning (850 minutes) and least time losing (188 minutes) in the league this term and have only trailed to Tottenham at the Etihad all season.

Kevin De Bruyne marked his return to top-flight action with a goal and assist at Newcastle earlier this month and has a fantastic record against Burnley, claiming two goals and four assists in his last five against them.

Tottenham v Brentford (Wednesday, 7.30pm, TNT Sports)

After a 14-game unbeaten run in top-flight London derbies, Brentford have now lost their last two — going down 1-0 to Arsenal and 3-1 to Crystal Palace.

They travel to Tottenham, who are aiming to avoid losing three consecutive league matches against city rivals for the first time since April 2004.

Ange Postecoglou is likely to select Richarlison, who has scored six goals in his last six league games.

Liverpool vs Chelsea (Wednesday, 8.15pm, TNT Sports)

Each of the last seven meetings between Liverpool and Chelsea have finished level after 90 minutes, the longest such run between two top-flight teams in English football history.

The last time Chelsea were able to beat Liverpool when the Reds were topping the table was in April 2014 — featuring the infamous Steven Gerrard slip.

Jurgen Klopp is aiming to win his 200th Premier League match and would be the second-fastest coach to reach that landmark after Pep Guardiola.

West Ham vs Bournemouth (Thursday, 7.30pm, TNT Sports)

West Ham are unbeaten in five Premier League games, their longest such run within one season since January 2021.

The Hammers have kept a clean sheet in their last three home league matches and could claim their fourth in a row for the first time since January 2010.

Only Forest have conceded more goals from set-pieces than Bournemouth this term, while the hosts' James Ward-Prowse has created more chances from them (28) than any other player.

Wolves vs Manchester United (Thursday, 8.15pm, TNT Sports)

Matheus Cunha has impressed for Wolves this season

Wolves have lost six of their last seven meetings with Manchester United, failing to score in any of the last three.

But United have lost three of their last four league away games, drawing the other, and have not led for a single minute across all of those matches.

Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha has been involved in seven goals across his last six appearances at Molineux in all competitions, scoring and assisting in each of his last two.
