The 2022-23 Premier League, Bundesliga and Eredivisie seasons drew to a close last weekend, with Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Feyenoord crowned champions.

LaLiga and Serie A still have one round of matches to play, although Napoli and Barcelona have already been confirmed as title winners.

To mark the nearing of the end of the European domestic season as a whole, we shine the spotlight on three of the best players from each division.

Premier League

Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Martin Odegaard

Erling Haaland won the 2022-23 Premier League Golden Boot

City striker Erling Haaland broke records for fun in his debut Premier League season, scoring 36 goals in 35 games — the highest total ever recorded in a single campaign.

But Tottenham's Harry Kane nearly mirrored the Norwegian's prolificacy, netting 30 times for a team that finished eighth and conceded more goals than Everton, which is quite the achievement.

And while Arsenal's title challenge petered out, Martin Odegaard's performances deserve enormous praise.

The young Gunners captain led by example throughout the term, scoring 15 goals, registering seven assists and producing countless pieces of jaw-dropping skill.

LaLiga

Antoine Griezmann, Robert Lewandowski and Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Antoine Griezmann has been exceptional for Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid this season

Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann is enjoying perhaps his finest LaLiga campaign, spearheading the club's recovery with 15 goals and 14 assists.

Robert Lewandowski has not been quite as prolific for Barcelona as he was at Bayern Munich but is still set to scoop the Golden Boot with 23 strikes for the champions.

As for Blaugrana goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, he has kept 26 clean sheets in 37 games and conceded only 18 goals — 13 fewer than any other team in the division.

Serie A

Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Minjae Kim

Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were key to Napoli's first title win since 1990

Selecting three players from one club highlights just how good Napoli have been throughout 2022-23.

No other team in Serie A have got near Luciano Spaletti's men for the most part, with attacking duo Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia giving defenders across the country nightmares.

The former leads the division for goals scored with 25, while the latter is the only player in the Italian top flight to reach double figures for both goals and assists (12 goals, 10 assists).

And at the other end of the pitch for the Partenopei, Minjae Kim has been the hallmark of consistency.

No player has completed more passes than the South Korean centre-back (2,547) or had more touches of the ball (3,173).

Bundesliga

Jamal Musiala, Jude Bellingham and Randal Kolo Muani

Jamal Musiala's late goal in Cologne won the title for Bayern Munich

Jamal Musiala's title-winning goal for Bayern Munich at FC Cologne was a fitting final act of a season in which the 20-year-old established himself as one of the best playmakers in Europe.

The Germany international finished with 12 goals and 10 assists, a superior total to Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham (eight goals, four assists) — a youngster who was equally impressive overall at the heart of a title-chasing team.

And then there is Eintracht Frankfurt marksman Randal Kolo Muani, who led the way for goal contributions in the Bundesliga with 26 (15 goals, 11 assists).

Like Bellingham, a big summer move beckons for the French striker.

Eredivisie

Xavi Simons, Dusan Tadic and Orkun Kokcu

Xavi Simons scored at least five more league goals than any other player in the PSV Eindhoven squad

Xavi Simons, 20, finished as the Dutch top flight's joint-top scorer with 19 goals, despite not being an out-and-out striker at PSV Eindhoven.

While Ajax's season was one to forget overall, the evergreen Dusan Tadic was at the peak of his powers once again, scoring 11 goals and assisting 18 more in a dysfunctional team.

Champions Feyenoord boasted numerous standout performers, although midfield enforcer Orkun Kokcu — who captains the team at the age of 22 — was particularly good.

The Turkish No10 is being linked with Arsenal and Tottenham as a result of his stellar displays.
