- Liverpool have scored at least two goals in eight of their last ten matches
- Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals

Fresh from meeting in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, Liverpool and Brighton reconvene on Saturday and will this time collide in a Premier League fixture at Anfield.

The Reds ran out 3-2 winners when these teams met at the AmEx Stadium in midweek and will now look to repeat the feat in the Premier League.

Arne Slot's men are in title contention in the league this season and earned a respectable point away to Arsenal last Sunday.

Brighton, meanwhile, will have been frustrated after they let a 2-0 lead over Wolves slip late on to draw 2-2 in their previous Premier League match.

Team news

Liverpool are still without Diogo Jota, Harvey Elliott, Federico Chiesa and Alisson Becker but Conor Bradley is back after playing in the EFL Cup clash in midweek.

Publicidad

Lewis Dunk is a doubt for Brighton after injuring himself in the warm-up to the Wolves game, while Yankuba Minteh, Joao Pedro, Solly March, James Milner, Matt O'Riley and Adam Webster are also likely to miss out.

Georginio Rutter, however, is available for selection after he was cup-tied in midweek.

Mohamed Salah has six goals in nine Premier League appearances this season so far

The stats

Liverpool have taken 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five Premier League assignments.

They have also scored at least two goals in eight of their last ten fixtures in all competitions.

Publicidad

As for Brighton, six of their last seven contests have featured over 3.5 goals with that run of matches producing a total of 30 goals.

Mo Salah is going well in the Premier League with six goals in nine matches this term.

Prediction

Liverpool look in excellent shape under Slot.

The absence of Diogo Jota is not hindering them massively and they have been firing on all cylinders this campaign.

The 3-2 win over Brighton in midweek was impressive and they will be expected to repeat that result at Anfield.

And while Liverpool make an appeal in several markets, the best betting angle could simply be over 3.5 goals.

The Reds can be rampant on their day at Anfield and their last two matches finished 2-2 and 3-2, so it shows there are also some vulnerabilities to exploit at the back.

Brighton have played expansive and attacking football under Fabian Hurzeler and that is reflected in their recent scorelines with five of their last six fixtures producing over 3.5 goals.

It is hard to envisage this being anything but a goal fest and for that reason punters should wager on there being at least four goals on Merseyside this Saturday.
