Leeds moved back into the top six in the Championship last weekend and they will fancy their chances of improving their position when they face Coventry at Elland Road on Saturday.

The Whites suffered their first defeat of the season in their first game back after the international break as Burnley ran out 1-0 winners at Elland Road.

Leeds responded by beating Cardiff 2-0 in Wales last time out, while Coventry are struggling to gain any momentum and Mark Robins' side were beaten 2-1 by Swansea last weekend.

Team News

Leeds boss Daniel Farke is still unable to call upon the services of winger Dan James due to a hamstring injury, while Max Wober and Manor Solomon will need to pass fitness tests to feature after missing the clash with Cardiff.

Publicidad

Coventry are expecting Jamie Allen to miss out after he suffered a knee injury in the defeat to the Swans.

Ben Sheaf is set to miss the game, but his return from injury is on track, while Raphael Borges Rodrigues is still sidelined with a leg injury and has yet to make his debut for the Sky Blues.

Mark Robins will be hoping to see Coventry improve after a poor start to the new season.

The stats

Leeds have won three of their last four games in the Championship, keeping a clean sheet in each of those wins.

The Whites have kept their opponents out in four of their last five, with Burnley's 1-0 success the only blemish on their record.

Publicidad

Coventry have lost three of their previous four in all competitions, while they have only won once in the Championship from six attempts.

The Sky Blues did win the previous meeting between the two sides, with 2-1 success going a long way to stopping Leeds' automatic promotion push.

Prediction

Some of Leeds' fans have been critical of the performances under Farke, but the German has once again had to deal with several of his pre-season squad moving on.

If the Whites have not hit their stride yet, that should worry the rest of the division, with Leeds keeping a clean sheet in four of their previous five.

At home, they are always tough to break down, while they should be plenty of corners taken by both teams.

Leeds have taken at least eight corners in their league games at home this season, while matches involving Coventry have averaged 12.33 corners per game.
